Today's verse speaks about the blessings showered upon God's children who are meek. People who are meek are often patient, gentle, humble and slow to anger. In the Bible, God describes Moses, the leader of Israel as 'very meek, above all the men who were upon the face of the earth.' We can see Jesus Christ as the ultimate example for meekness. He also taught about meekness. We will acquire this character of meekness only when we have a relationship with Christ. The blessings of possessing meekness include inheriting the earth and enjoying peace and prosperity. Let us say to ourselves along with David, 'Turn from evil and do good; seek peace and pursue it.'
சாந்தகுணமுள்ளவர்கள் பூமியைச் சுதந்தரித்து, மிகுந்த சமாதானத்தினால் மனமகிழ்ச்சியாயிருப்பார்கள்.

இன்றைய வசனம் சாந்தகுணமுள்ள தேவனுடைய பிள்ளைகள் மீது பொழிந்த ஆசீர்வாதங்களைப் பற்றி பேசுகிறது. சாந்தகுணமுள்ளவர்கள் பெரும்பாலும் பொறுமையாகவும், மென்மையாகவும், அடக்கமாகவும், கோபிப்பதற்கு தாமதமாயும் இருப்பார்கள். பைபிளில், இஸ்ரவேலின் தலைவரான மோசேயை கடவுள் விவரிக்கிறார், 'பூமியிலுள்ள சகல மனிதரிலும் மிகுந்த சாந்தகுணமுள்ளவனாயிருந்தான்.' இயேசு கிறிஸ்துவை சாந்தகுணத்திற்கு மிகச்சிறந்த முன்மாதிரியாக நாம் பார்க்கலாம். சாந்தத்தைப் பற்றியும் போதித்தார். நாம் கிறிஸ்துவுடன் ஒரு உறவைக் கொண்டிருக்கும் போது மட்டுமே இந்த சாந்த குணத்தைப் பெறுவோம். சாந்தத்தை வைத்திருப்பதன் ஆசீர்வாதங்களில் பூமியைச் சுதந்தரிப்பதும் அமைதியையும் செழிப்பையும் அனுபவிப்பதும் அடங்கும். தாவீதுடன் சேர்ந்து நாமும் நமக்குள் சொல்லிக் கொள்வோம், 'தீமையை விட்டு விலகி, நன்மை செய், சமாதானத்தைத் தேடி, அதைத் தொடர்ந்துகொள்.'
