The story behind this verse is a miracle that happened when a woman who had been suffering from hemorrhages for twelve years; who had spent all her livelihood on physicians and could not be healed by any. She came up behind Jesus and touched the hem of His garment, and immediately her hemorrhage stopped. But Jesus turned around, and when He saw her He said, “Be of good cheer, daughter; your faith has made you well.” And the woman was made well from that hour. We learned from this real event that faith is believing on things what we do not see. God can do a miracle in our lives too when we trust on Him. As Paul says, "walk by faith not by sight."
மகளே, திடன்கொள், உன் விசுவாசம் உன்னை இரட்சித்தது என்றார். அந்நேரம் முதல் அந்த ஸ்திரீ சொஸ்தமானாள்.

பன்னிரண்டு வருடங்களாக ரத்தப்போக்கு நோயால் அவதிப்பட்ட ஒரு பெண்மணிக்கு நடந்த அதிசயம்தான் இந்த வசனத்தின் பின்னணியில் உள்ள கதை; தன் வாழ்வாதாரம் முழுவதையும் மருத்துவர்களுக்காகச் செலவழித்தவர், எவராலும் குணப்படுத்த முடியாதவர். அவள் இயேசுவின் பின்னால் வந்து அவருடைய ஆடையின் ஓரத்தைத் தொட்டாள், உடனே அவளுடைய இரத்தப்போக்கு நின்றது. ஆனால் இயேசு திரும்பி, அவளைப் பார்த்து, "மகளே, திடன்கொள், உன் விசுவாசம் உன்னை இரட்சித்தது என்றார். அந்நேரம் முதல் அந்த ஸ்திரீ சொஸ்தமானாள்." நாம் பார்க்காத விஷயங்களை நம்புவதுதான் விசுவாசம் என்பதை இந்த உண்மை சம்பவத்திலிருந்து கற்றுக்கொண்டோம். கடவுள் மீது நாம் நம்பிக்கை வைக்கும்போது நம் வாழ்விலும் ஒரு அற்புதத்தை அவரால் செய்ய முடியும். பவுல் சொல்வது போல், "நாம் தரிசித்து நடவாமல், விசுவாசித்து நடப்போம்."
