In our daily lives, we struggle when we fail to wait for God's timing. In today's verse Peter, a disciple of Jesus says that if we humble ourselves under the powerful hand of God, He will lift us up in His time. Humility is required to know the timing of God. Most of the time we think that we know everything and rush into it before God's timing. We don't wait for God to lift us up. Jesus showed us how to do that. The Bible teaches that Jesus is God and yet, He came down to the earth, and humbled Himself by obeying even to the point of death, even death on a cross. Therefore God exalted Him to the highest place and gave Him the name above all names. Let us humble ourselves as instructed by James, "Humble yourselves before the Lord, and He will exalt you."
ஆகையால், ஏற்றகாலத்திலே தேவன் உங்களை உயர்த்தும்படிக்கு, அவருடைய பலத்த கைக்குள் அடங்கியிருங்கள். 1 பேதுரு 5:6
நம் அன்றாட வாழ்வில், கடவுளின் நேரத்திற்காக காத்திருக்கத் தவறும்போது நாம் போராடுகிறோம். இன்றைய வசனத்தில், இயேசுவின் சீடரான பேதுரு, கடவுளின் வல்லமைமிக்க கரத்திற்குள் நம்மை அடக்கி தாழ்த்தும்போது, அவருடைய காலத்தில் அவர் நம்மை உயர்த்துவார் என்று கூறுகிறார். இறைவனின் நேரத்தை அறிய பணிவு அவசியம். பெரும்பாலான சமயங்களில் நாம் எல்லாவற்றையும் அறிந்திருக்கிறோம் என்று நினைத்துக் கொண்டு, கடவுளுடைய நேரத்திற்கு முன்பாகவே அதில் விரைந்து செயல்படுகிறோம். கடவுள் நம்மை உயர்த்துவார் என்று நாம் காத்திருக்கிறதில்லை. அதை எப்படி செய்வது என்று இயேசு நமக்குக் காட்டினார். இயேசு கடவுள் என்று பைபிள் போதிக்கிறது, எனினும், அவர் பூமிக்கு வந்து, மரணம் வரை, சிலுவையில் மரணம் வரை கீழ்ப்படிந்து தன்னைத் தாழ்த்தினார். எனவே கடவுள் அவரை உயர்ந்த இடத்திற்கு உயர்த்தி, எல்லா பெயர்களுக்கும் மேலான பெயரை அவருக்கு வழங்கினார். "கர்த்தருக்கு முன்பாகத் தாழ்மைப்படுங்கள், அப்பொழுது அவர் உங்களை உயர்த்துவார்." என்று யாக்கோபு அறிவுறுத்தியபடி நம்மைத் தாழ்த்துவோம்.
