Commit your works to the Lord, And your thoughts will be established. Proverbs 16:3

Every day, we pray to God and begin our lives. However, many times, we rely on ourselves for various things. Today's verse tells us to commit our ways and our works to the Lord. He will bless our efforts according to His perfect will in ways beyond our understanding. This means giving all our problems, worries, doubts, failures, needs, plans, and questions to God in prayer every moment. We should also seek Him through the word of God to find solutions for everything and place our trust in Him alone. Let us repeat with David, "Commit your way to the Lord, Trust also in Him, And He shall bring it to pass."

உன் செய்கைகளைக் கர்த்தருக்கு ஒப்புவி, அப்பொழுது உன் யோசனைகள் உறுதிப்படும். நீதிமொழிகள் 16:3

ஒவ்வொரு நாளும், நாம் கடவுளிடம் ஜெபித்து, நம் நாளைத் தொடங்குகிறோம். இருப்பினும், பல நேரங்களில், நாம் பல்வேறு விஷயங்களில் நம்பிக்கையாயிருக்கிறோம். இன்றைய வசனம் நம்முடைய வழிகளையும், நம்முடைய செயல்களையும் கர்த்தருக்கு ஒப்புக்கொடுக்கச் சொல்கிறது. நம்முடைய புரிதலுக்கு அப்பாற்பட்ட வழிகளில் அவருடைய பரிபூரண சித்தத்தின்படி நம்முடைய முயற்சிகளை அவர் ஆசீர்வதிப்பார். ஒவ்வொரு நொடியும் ஜெபத்தில் நமது பிரச்சனைகள், கவலைகள், சந்தேகங்கள், தோல்விகள், தேவைகள், திட்டங்கள் மற்றும் கேள்விகள் அனைத்தையும் கடவுளிடம் கொடுப்பதை; இது குறிக்கிறது. அனைத்திற்கும் தீர்வு காணவும், அவரில் மட்டுமே நம்பிக்கை வைக்கவும் கடவுளின் வார்த்தையின் மூலம் நாம் அவரைத் தேட வேண்டும். நாம் தாவீதோடு மீண்டும், "உன் வழியைக் கர்த்தருக்கு ஒப்புவித்து, அவர்மேல் நம்பிக்கையாயிரு, அவரே காரியத்தை வாய்க்கப்பண்ணுவார்." என்று சொல்லுவோம்.

A soft answer turns away wrath, But a harsh word stirs up anger. Proverbs 15:1. King Solomon gives wise advice on handling anger. A gentle answer can calm a tense situation, while harsh words only make things worse. The word "wrath" here refers to intense anger that can lead to conflict. When we’re insulted or upset, it’s easy to respond with more anger, but this only fuels the fire. Instead, responding calmly and kindly can help defuse the situation. A gentle response shows wisdom, self-control, and care for the other person, reducing tension and preventing further conflict. When faced with anger or insult, how can you respond with gentleness and wisdom to show love and defuse the situation instead of fueling conflict? Walk prudently when you go to the house of God; and draw near to hear rather than to give the sacrifice of fools, for they do not know that they do evil. Ecclesiastes 5:1. This scripture is a warning not to approach God's house without humility and careful thought. Proper preparation for worship is more important than the act of worship itself, especially if that worship is done without understanding. The reason why the "sacrifice of fools" is meaningless is that they lack knowledge—they don't want to listen and hear from God. This can happen in our lives as well. How many times do we attend church without preparing our hearts and minds? If we remain ignorant, our worship will not be acceptable to God. What is your attitude towards God when you go to church? Today's verse speaks about God's blessings in store for His chosen people who are saved through Jesus Christ. Let us explore what God says about the two places mentioned in this verse: Sharon and the Valley of Achor. Sharon refers to the plain south of Mount Carmel, situated between the central mountain range and the Mediterranean Sea. It is a fertile agricultural area. The Valley of Achor, located northwest of Jericho on the northern border of the tribe of Judah, is where the Israelites executed Achan and his household. 'Achor' means 'trouble' or 'affliction,' signifying severe trouble. As for me, I will call upon God, And the Lord shall save me. Evening and morning and at noon I will pray, and cry aloud, And He shall hear my voice. Psalm 55:16-17. Here, King David speaks of calling upon God's name for salvation. He mentions crying out to the Lord three times a day with a loud voice. Why would David pray this way? It’s because he understands that only God can save him from all his fears, trials, and problems. Similarly, we can call upon the Lord when we are discouraged, afraid, or worried. Jesus bore all our burdens and sins on the cross and saved us. We should also have confidence in the Lord like David, constantly reaching out to Him in prayer and with thanksgiving. He hears our voice and delivers us when we pray continually. "Do not hold on to anger."

Be angry, and do not sin. Meditate within your heart on your bed, and be still. Psalm 4:4. Today’s verse talks about one of the limitations of human nature. At times, we get upset over things we don't like. People speak in ways that trigger anger. The natural tendency is to release the pressure built up within us through anger. However, it doesn't stop there, as we don't get angry in isolation; we get angry at people. Now, there are plenty of chances that our anger turns into sin, as it can damage relationships, inflict wounds and scars on hearts, and even result in violent behavior. This verse tells us that when you get angry, go to your bed, lie down, and meditate in your heart. This act of obedience to the scripture helps reduce our pressure and increases the possibility of not committing sin. Finally, do not hold on to anger, and don't let anger motivate you to sin. "Crafted by Christ for good works."

  We are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works. Ephesians 2:10. Apostle Paul writes that we are God's masterpiece, made in Christ Jesus, to perform good acts and works that God prepared for us before we were even born. These actions and works can only be carried out through our new life in Christ, guided by the Holy Spirit working in and through us. When we yield ourselves to Christ to change and transform our lives day by day through the Word of God, our old nature will fade, and new characters like Christ Jesus will emerge. This will enable us to fulfill His will and plan to do great things for God.
