For the Lord is good; His mercy is everlasting, And His truth endures to all generations. Psalm 100:5 Here, David is thanking and praising God for three reasons. First, he speaks of the goodness of God; secondly, he mentions God's everlasting mercy, and thirdly, he emphasizes that God's truth extends to all generations. David expresses God's goodness with the words, "The earth is full of the goodness of the Lord." The Bible story of the prodigal son serves as a powerful representation of God's love, mercy, and faithfulness towards us as His children. God loved us unconditionally even when we were sinners, and He gave His life for us. Jesus is the truth that abides in us and will be with us forever. Let us join the Psalmist in praising Him, saying, "For His merciful kindness is great toward us, and the truth of the Lord endures forever. Praise the Lord!"
