Hope deferred makes the heart sick, But when the desire comes, it is a tree of life. Proverbs 13:12
Today's verse says that when hope is delayed in the lives of people who are expecting, it can make them unhappy. However, when their wishes come true, they will be overjoyed, as if life has been restored to the dead. The Bible also shares the real story of Sarah, who, in her old age, conceived and bore a son to Abraham just as God had promised. Similarly, in our own lives, we must pray and wait patiently for God's promises to be fulfilled. At times, this waiting will make our hearts ache, but we should take inspiration from David's words "Be of good courage, And He shall strengthen your heart, All you who hope in the Lord."
