Blog # 358 - "Trust in God's unchanging power"

“I am the vine, you are the branches. He who abides in Me, and I in him, bears much fruit; for without Me you can do nothing" John 15:5

In today's verse, Jesus said that those who abide in me and I in them bear much fruit, because apart from me you can do nothing. He also said that He is the vine, and we are the branches.  He was explaining how important it is for us to stay connected to Him. Just as the vine provides nutrition that helps fruit grow on a plant, Jesus gives us all that we need to grow in our faith to bear fruits like "love, joy, peace, kindness, humility, goodness, self control, and gentleness." The relationship with Jesus is like "I abide in Him, and He abides in Me." When we abide in Jesus, we immerse ourselves in His word, and in turn, He abides in us. Let us heed John's advice: "He who says he abides in Him ought himself also to walk just as He walked." 

"நானே திராட்சச்செடி, நீங்கள் கொடிகள். ஒருவன் என்னிலும் நான் அவனிலும் நிலைத்திருந்தால், அவன் மிகுந்த கனிகளைக் கொடுப்பான், என்னையல்லாமல் உங்களால் ஒன்றும் செய்யக்கூடாது." யோவான் 15:5

இன்றைய வசனத்தில், ஒருவன் என்னிலும் நான் அவனிலும் நிலைத்திருந்தால் மிகுந்த கனிகளைத் தருகிறார்கள், ஏனென்றால் என்னையல்லாமல் உங்களால் எதுவும் செய்ய முடியாது என்று இயேசு கூறினார்.  அவர் திராட்சைக் கொடி, நாம் கிளைகள் என்றும் அவர் கூறினார்.  நாம் அவருடன் இணைந்திருப்பது எவ்வளவு முக்கியம் என்பதை அவர் விளக்கினார்.  செடியில் பழங்கள் வளர உதவும் ஊட்டச்சத்தை கொடியானது வழங்குவது போல, "அன்பு, சந்தோஷம், சமாதானம், நீடியபொறுமை, தயவு, நற்குணம், விசுவாசம், சாந்தம், இச்சையடக்கம்" போன்ற கனிகளைத் தருவதற்கு நாம் விசுவாசத்தில் வளர வேண்டிய அனைத்தையும் இயேசு நமக்குத் தருகிறார்.  இயேசுவுடனான உறவு, "என்னில் நிலைத்திருங்கள், நானும் உங்களில் நிலைத்திருப்பேன்" என்பது போன்றது.  நாம் இயேசுவில் நிலைத்திருக்கும் போது, ​​நாம் அவருடைய வார்த்தையில் மூழ்கிவிடுகிறோம், மேலும் அவர் நம்மில் நிலைத்திருக்கிறார். "அவருக்குள் நிலைத்திருக்கிறேனென்று சொல்லுகிறவன், அவர் நடந்தபடியே தானும் நடக்கவேண்டும்." என்ற பரிசுத்த யோவானின் அறிவுரைக்கு நாம் செவிசாய்ப்போம்.
