I will give you fame and praise, among all the peoples of the earth, Zephaniah 3:20

Today, God has given us a great promise regarding how we will receive His blessings and become well-known individuals in the world. We can look to Abraham as an example of how God blessed him, making him a great nation, renowned and praised by people all over the earth. We too can receive this blessing if we love the Lord with all our hearts, obey, and follow His commandments, just as Abraham did. God will make our name great and keep us as a blessing to many nations. Let us pray with David, "The Lord will preserve him and keep him alive, and he will be blessed on the earth. You will not deliver him into the hands of his enemies."

As cold water to a weary soul, So is good news from a far country. Proverbs 25:25. In life’s difficult moments, we often find ourselves weary, thirsty for hope, and longing for relief. This verse highlights the importance of timely encouragement. King Solomon compares good news to a refreshing cup of cold water given to a weary soul who has been working hard, worn out, and very thirsty. In the broader context, Solomon had previously taught that a trustworthy messenger brings refreshment to his master, but in this verse, the focus moves to the importance of the message itself. What good news can you share today to lift someone's spirit and bring encouragement? The Bible says that a good report makes the bones healthy. Good news is a powerful gift. When was the last time you encouraged a distant friend? Even the smallest encouragement can be like cold water to a soul in need.  Proverbs 16:24 says: “Pleasant words are like a honeycomb, Sweetness to the soul and health to the bones.”...

Blog # 327 - "Confidently Wait for the Lord's Timing"

  I waited patiently for the Lord; and He inclined to me and heard my cry. Psalm 40:1. In this verse, King David waited upon the Lord without an immediate answer. He waited diligently and earnestly, patiently and perseveringly, until God was pleased to help him. God inclined to him and heard his cry. The word "inclined" conveys the sense of God bending down to David in his affliction, removing any perceived distance between the Lord and His servant. When David knew God heard his cry, he was confident of a favorable answer. In the same way, God inclines to us and hears our cry when we wait patiently for Him. We need to wait for His timing to see miracles happening in our lives. He acts in His own way and at His preferred time to develop our faith in His Word and to enlarge our trust in His unfailing goodness and grace. Pure and undefiled religion before God and the Father is this: to visit orphans and widows in their trouble, and to keep oneself unspotted from the world. James 1:27. Apostle James describes “pure and genuine religion” as the kind that God our Father accepts as pure and faultless: caring for orphans and widows in their distress, and keeping oneself unpolluted by the world. He highlights three signs that prove our religion is real: it impacts our conversation, our compassion, and our character. Pure religion involves loving God and others, especially those who are alone, forgotten, or in trouble, with the right motives. It recognizes the distress in the world and moves to meet that need.  Prophet Zechariah says that not to oppress the widow or the fatherless (Zechariah 7:10). That before they call, I will answer; And while they are still speaking, I will hear. Isaiah 65:24. The answer to our prayers is prepared before we pray. He is more ready to hear than we are to pray! While we are praying to Him, He hears, answers, and grants our requests, and more, just as He did for Daniel. Gabriel, an angel from God, brought God’s answer to Daniel. At the moment Daniel began praying, God sent this messenger to speak to him (Daniel 9:20-23). This shows the Lord’s readiness to help and assist us in times of trouble or fear and is a great encouragement to approach the throne of grace constantly. He has made large and firm promises of answer when we pray. By this we know that we love the children of God, when we love God and keep His commandments. 1 John 5:2. In this scripture, we are reminded that our love for others is deeply connected to our love for God. True love for the people around us flows naturally when we are committed to loving God and following His commandments. This verse tells us that our relationship with God is the key to how we treat others. When we love God, we align our hearts with His, and this alignment helps us to love our brothers and sisters. I dwell in the high and holy place, with him who has a contrite and humble spirit, to revive the spirit of the humble and to revive the heart of the contrite ones. Isaiah 57:15. God identifies Himself as the great and exalted One who lives forever and whose name is Holy. He created time, space, matter, and human beings. He stretched out the heavens and trampled the waves of the sea. His desire is to renew a right spirit within the hearts of lost souls who are dead in sin. Instead of dwelling in heaven, a holy place, our Almighty God wants to live with us, who are meek, holy, and humble of heart. He also wants to revive those with a contrite spirit and dwell in the hearts of all who believe in His name. This revelation unveils God's heart, characterized by compassion, grace, and accessibility.
