This verse is telling us today about the blessings of a righteous man who walks blamelessly. The Bible says, "Abraham believed God, and it was accounted to him for righteousness." Abraham obeyed God's call and followed Him faithfully. Then God blessed his descendants as numerous as the stars in the sky and gave them the land, and said through his offspring, all nations on earth will be blessed. In the same way, if we obey God and follow Him faithfully, He will bless our children too. Let us declare with David, "Surely, Lord, you bless the righteous; you surround them with your favor as with a shield."
நீதிமான் தன் உத்தமத்திலே நடக்கிறான்: அவனுக்குப்பிறகு அவன் பிள்ளைகளும் பாக்கியவான்களாயிருப்பார்கள். நீதிமொழிகள் 20:7
குற்றமில்லாமல் நடக்கும் நீதிமான்களின் ஆசீர்வாதங்களைப் பற்றி இந்த வசனம் இன்று நமக்குச் சொல்கிறது. "அப்படியே ஆபிரகாம் தேவனை விசுவாசித்தான், "அது அவனுக்கு நீதியாக எண்ணப்பட்டது"
என்று பரிசுத்த வேதாகமம் சொல்கிறது. ஆபிரகாம் கடவுளின் அழைப்புக்குக் கீழ்ப்படிந்து அவரை உண்மையாகப் பின்பற்றினார். அப்பொழுது தேவன் அவருடைய சந்ததியினரை வானத்தில் உள்ள நட்சத்திரங்களைப் போல ஆசீர்வதித்து, அவர்களுக்கு தேசத்தைக் கொடுத்தார், மேலும் அவருடைய சந்ததியினரால் பூமியிலுள்ள எல்லா தேசங்களும் ஆசீர்வதிக்கப்படும் என்றார். அதேபோல், நாம் கடவுளுக்குக் கீழ்ப்படிந்து அவரை உண்மையுடன் பின்பற்றினால், அவர் நம் பிள்ளைகளையும் ஆசீர்வதிப்பார். நாமும் தாவீதோடு சேர்ந்து அறிவிப்போம், "கர்த்தாவே, நீர் நீதிமானை ஆசீர்வதித்து, காருணியம் என்னுங் கேடகத்தினால் அவனைச் சூழ்ந்துகொள்ளுவீர்."
