"Abide in God's Presence"

I will abide in Your tabernacle forever; I will trust in the shelter of Your wings. Psalm 61:4

Today's verse describes how King David trusted God's protection. The term "Tabernacle" refers to the dwelling place of God. David expresses the desire of his heart to dwell in God's presence continually, where he could find strength, comfort, and protection. Similarly, if we have the desire to abide in God's presence, we too can receive His care, strength, and protection. In the Bible, wings are often used as a symbol of God's protective care. We receive that protective care when we come under His wings, as chicks come running under their mother hen's wings.  Let us resonate with King David, saying, "He will cover us with His feathers; under His wings, we will find refuge; His faithfulness is a shield and rampart."

நான் உம்முடைய கூடாரத்தில் சதாகாலமும் தங்குவேன், உமது செட்டைகளின் மறைவிலே வந்து அடைவேன். சங்கீதம் 61:4

இன்றைய வசனம் தாவீது ராஜா எப்படி தேவனின் பாதுகாப்பில் நம்பிக்கை வைத்தார் என்பதை விவரிக்கிறது.  "ஆசரிப்புக் கூடாரம்" என்பது கடவுளின் வாசஸ்தலத்தைக் குறிக்கிறது.  தாவீது தேவனின் பிரசன்னத்தில் தொடர்ந்து வாழ வேண்டும் என்ற தனது இதயத்தின் விருப்பத்தை வெளிப்படுத்துகிறார், அங்கு அவர் பெலன், ஆறுதல் மற்றும் பாதுகாப்பு ஆகியவற்றை பெற்றுக்  கொள்ள முடியும்.  அதுபோலவே, தேவனின் பிரசன்னத்தில் நிலைத்திருக்க ஆசைப்பட்டால், நாமும் அவருடைய கவனிப்பையும், பலத்தையும், பாதுகாப்பையும் பெறலாம்.  பரிசுத்த வேதாகமத்தில், செட்டைகள் பெரும்பாலும் தேவனின் பாதுகாப்பின் அடையாளமாக பயன்படுத்தப்படுகின்றன.  குஞ்சுகள் தங்கள் தாய்க் கோழியின் சிறகுகளுக்குக் கீழே ஓடுவது போல, அவருடைய செட்டைகளின் கீழ் வரும்போது அந்தப் பாதுகாப்புப் பராமரிப்பைப் பெறுகிறோம். "அவர் தமது சிறகுகளாலே உன்னை மூடுவார், அவர் செட்டைகளின் கீழே அடைக்கலம் புகுவாய், அவருடைய சத்தியம் உனக்குப் பரிசையும் கேடகமுமாகும்." என்று தாவீது ராஜாவுடன் சேர்ந்து சொல்லுவோம்.

The LORD  is  near to those who have a broken heart, And saves such as have a contrite spirit. Psalm 34:18 In everyday life, we experience the pain of brokenness and are full of regret. In today's verse, we understand that God is near to those with the heart filled with hurt, grief, guilt, shame, and He saves the crushed spirit. But the Bible says that only God can heal the broken hearts and bind up their wounds. Jesus is the great example for us; He went through the pain in the garden of Gethsemane and shed every drop of blood on the cross to save our lives from the pain of brokenness. He can understand whatever we go through. If we humble ourselves and repent to Him with a broken heart, He will heal our brokenness and fill us with the joy of salvation. This allowed us to make our own choices according to our will. It was through this free will that humanity first sinned against God in the Garden of Eden. Today, we often rely on our own judgment, thinking our way is right. Yet, the Bible reminds us that when we act according to our own understanding, we may not realize if we are doing right or wrong. Only God truly examines our hearts and knows the innermost details of our thoughts—whether they are good or evil. When we align our actions with God’s Word and listen to His voice, we walk in His ways and receive His blessings.  Therefore, we should ask God to search our hearts, purify our motives, and guide us. The Lord shall preserve you from all evil; He shall preserve your soul. Psalm 121:7. This verse is a promise from God to protect us and our soul from all kinds of evil—such as danger, disease, violence, and natural disasters. It encourages us to trust in God's power to shield us from harm and care for our soul. The soul represents the core of a person's being, embodying their spiritual identity, emotions, will, and eternal connection with God. God’s promise to preserve our soul shows His ongoing commitment to our spiritual well-being. This verse reflects the psalmist's deep trust in God's ability to protect His people, both physically and spiritually.  It also reassures us of His constant care as our Rock, Refuge, Shield, and Fortress. "Let us claim the Promises of God"

“Surely blessing I will bless you, and multiplying I will multiply you.”   and so, after he had patiently endured, he obtained the promise. Hebrews 6:14 Today's verse is a promise of God to His people who follow Him faithfully. God promised Abraham that all the families of the earth would be blessed in him. Later, God reaffirmed his promise, telling Abraham his descendants would be as numerous as the stars in the sky and the sand on the seashore and his descendants will possess the gates of their enemies. Today the same God wants to bless us when we obey His voice as Abraham did. Oh, taste and see that the  Lord   is  good;  Blessed  is  the man  who  trusts in Him! Psalm 34:8 In this verse David shares his personal experience of how he tasted and saw the goodness of God in his life. He also says how he is blessed when he puts his trusts in the Lord. The phrase taste and see, simply means "try and experience." As David tasted the love of God, we all should try and experience it personally to know how good He is. Additionally, we can focus on God's goodness by focusing on His word. When we trust Him and walk in His word, we will receive His blessings in all the areas of our lives. Plans are established by counsel; By wise counsel wage war. Proverbs 20:18. Today's verse says that plans are established by seeking advice. Good advice is essential for sound decision-making, and it should come from wise counselors. Without counsel, plans fail, but with many advisers, we will succeed. The Bible mentions kings who, by listening to wise people like Joseph and Daniel, were able to save their nations. God has given us the ability to learn and grow from one another. We gain wisdom by listening to others.  Seeking advice requires humility—it means admitting that we do not know everything and that others may have valuable insights. When seeking advice, it is important to seek godly counsel  that aligns with God's Word and His will. This will help us make wise decisions.
