"Be a Cheerful Giver"

Give, and it will be given to you: good measure, pressed down, shaken together, and running over will be put into your bosom. Luke 6:38

Today's verse tells us about the principle of giving. We all give to God and people in many ways, but how we give is very important. Jesus is teaching His followers about the principles of generosity, kindness, and compassion. He said that we need to give without expecting a return. The phrase "good measure, pressed down, shaken together, and running over" is a clear description of the abundant blessings that will come to those who are generous in their giving.  Let us be cheerful givers, as Apostle Paul says, "So let each one give as he purposes in his heart, not grudgingly or out of necessity; for God loves a cheerful giver."

கொடுங்கள், அப்பொழுது உங்களுக்கும் கொடுக்கப்படும், அமுக்கிக் குலுக்கிச் சரிந்து விழும்படி நன்றாய் அளந்து, உங்கள் மடியிலே போடுவார்கள். லூக்கா 6:38

இன்றைய வசனம், கொடுக்கும் முறையைப் பற்றி சொல்கிறது.  நாம் அனைவரும் கடவுளுக்கும் மக்களுக்கும் பல வழிகளில் கொடுக்கிறோம், ஆனால் நாம் எப்படி கொடுக்கிறோம் என்பது மிகவும் முக்கியமானது. இயேசு தம்மைப்  பின்பற்றுபவர்களுக்கு; தாராள மனப்பான்மை, இரக்கம், மன உருக்கம் ஆகியவற்றின் முறைமைகளைப் பற்றி  போதிக்கிறார்.  திரும்ப எதிர்பார்க்காமல் கொடுக்க வேண்டும் என்றார். "அமுக்கிக் குலுக்கிச் சரிந்து விழும்படி நன்றாய் அளந்து" என்ற சொற்றொடர், தாராள மனப்பான்மை உள்ளவர்களுக்குக் கிடைக்கும் ஏராளமான ஆசீர்வாதங்களைப் பற்றிய தெளிவான விளக்கமாகும்.  அப்போஸ்தலனாகிய பவுல் கூறுவது போல், மனமகிழ்ச்சியுடன் கொடுப்போராக இருப்போம், "அவனவன் விசனமாயுமல்ல, கட்டாயமாயுமல்ல, தன் மனதில் நியமித்தபடியே கொடுக்கக்கடவன். உற்சாகமாய்க் கொடுக்கிறவனிடத்தில் தேவன் பிரியமாயிருக்கிறார்."
