"Let us claim the Promises of God"

“Surely blessing I will bless you, and multiplying I will multiply you.” and so, after he had patiently endured, he obtained the promise. Hebrews 6:14

Today's verse is a promise of God to His people who follow Him faithfully. God promised Abraham that all the families of the earth would be blessed in him. Later, God reaffirmed his promise, telling Abraham his descendants would be as numerous as the stars in the sky and the sand on the seashore and his descendants will possess the gates of their enemies. Today the same God wants to bless us when we obey His voice as Abraham did. As we obey the voice of the Lord, we should claim the promise, "And all these blessings shall come upon you and overtake you, because you obey the voice of the LORD your God."

நிச்சயமாக நான் உன்னை ஆசீர்வதிக்கவே ஆசீர்வதித்து, உன்னைப் பெருகவே பெருகப்பண்ணுவேன் என்றார். எபிரேயர் 6:14

இன்றைய வசனம், தம்மை உண்மையாகப் பின்பற்றும் தம்முடைய மக்களுக்குக் தேவன் அளித்த வாக்குறுதியாகும்.  ஆபிரகாமினிமித்தம் பூமியிலுள்ள அனைத்து குடும்பங்களும் ஆசீர்வதிக்கப்படும் என்று தேவன் வாக்குறுதி அளித்தார்.  பின்னர், தேவன் தனது வாக்குறுதியை மீண்டும் உறுதிப்படுத்தினார். ஆபிரகாமிடம், அவருடைய சந்ததியினர் வானத்தில் உள்ள நட்சத்திரங்களைப் போலவும் கடற்கரை மணலைப் போலவும் இருப்பார்கள் என்றும் அவருடைய சந்ததியினர் தங்கள் எதிரிகளின் கோட்டைகளைக் கைப்பற்றுவார்கள் என்றும் கூறினார்.  இன்று அதே தேவன் ஆபிரகாம் செய்தது போல் அவருடைய சத்தத்திற்கு கீழ்ப்படிந்து நடக்கும் போது நம்மை ஆசீர்வதிக்க விரும்புகிறார்.  நாம் கர்த்தருடைய சத்தத்திற்குக் கீழ்ப்படியும் போது, "நீ உன் தேவனாகிய கர்த்தரின் சத்தத்துக்குச் செவிகொடுக்கும்போது, இப்பொழுது சொல்லப்படும் ஆசீர்வாதங்களெல்லாம் உன்மேல் வந்து உனக்குப் பலிக்கும்." என்ற வாக்குத்தத்தத்தை பற்றிக்கொள்ளுவோம்.
