"Promises for us in this New Year"

You crown the year with Your goodness, and Your paths drip with abundance. Psalm 65:11

What a wonderful promise for us in this New Year! God crowns this New Year with His joy, peace, health, wealth, goodness, and mercies. Every day is a new opportunity for us as God grants us a life of abundance according to this promise. His acts of goodness include forgiveness, salvation, fruits of the spirit (Galatians 5:22,23), gifts of the Holy Spirit (1 Corinthians 12:8-10), deliverance, healing, and protection. As we get into the New Year, we will experience His goodness and mercy following us all through the days and making our paths drip with abundance.  Psalm 23:6  says, "Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life, and I will dwell in the house of the Lord forever."

"Blog Y2 085 - God’s Love and Salvation Revealed"

Image
In this the love of God was manifested toward us, that God has sent His only begotten Son into the world, that we might live through Him. 1 John 4:9. Apostle John shares a powerful truth in this verse about God’s love and Jesus’ mission on Earth. It shows how much God loves us—He sent His one and only Son into the world. The term "only begotten Son" highlights how unique and special Jesus is. This verse also points to salvation—God’s plan to save us from sin and death. By believing in Jesus and living for Him, we can experience true, abundant life. Does knowing that God gave His Son for you, build your trust in Him? John 3:16 says: "For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life."

"Christ safeguards us from sin"

Image
He who has been born of God keeps himself, and the wicked one does not touch him. 1 John 5:18. Apostle John declares that everyone who believes that Jesus is Christ has been born of God, making them a child of God. When we acknowledge Jesus as the only God and accept Him as our Savior, the Holy Spirit enters our hearts and transforms us from our old selves into new individuals. From that moment on, Christ safeguards us from sin and protects us against the enemy's evil plans. The Bible affirms that whoever has been born of God does not sin, as His seed remains in them, and they cannot sin because they have been born of God. In John 3:3 , 'Jesus answered and said to him,' "Most assuredly, I say to you, unless one is born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God." I யோவான் 5:18.

"Blog Y2 045 - Faith in God’s Strength Brings Victory"

Image
Through You we will push down our enemies; Through Your name we will trample those who rise up against us. Psalm 44:5. The verse highlights the theme of faith and reliance on God's strength. Despite their distress, the Israelites continue to affirm their trust in God's power and His sovereignty over their enemies. It is a declaration of their faith in God's ability to deliver them from their troubles and grant them victory. We see God's protection, power, and victory over everything. We know how David killed Goliath in the name of the Lord. The psalmist says that we shall tread upon the lion and the cobra; the young lion and the serpent we shall trample underfoot with God’s authority. In the same way, we can push down our adversaries and trample the enemy who rises up against us. Will you trust in God's strength to help you overcome your adversaries and grant you victory? Psalm 60:12 says: “Through God we will do valiantly, for it is He who shall tread down our en...

"Blog Y2 081 - Praise God with joyful hearts."

Image
Let us come before His presence with thanksgiving; Let us shout joyfully to Him with psalms. Psalm 95:2. The psalmist encourages us to come before the presence of God with thanksgiving and to make a joyful noise unto Him with psalms. He urges the children of God to approach God with hearts full of gratitude and to acknowledge His goodness and faithfulness in their lives. For example, in Exodus 15, after the Israelites crossed the Red Sea, Moses and the people of Israel sang a song of praise to the Lord for delivering them from their enemies. Similarly, in the New Testament, the apostle Paul encourages believers to address one another in psalms, hymns, and spiritual songs, singing and making melody to the Lord with their hearts. It also emphasizes the significance of praising God through songs and music to honor and glorify His name. Are you expressing gratitude and praising God daily for His goodness and faithfulness? 1 Thessalonians 5:18 says: “In everything give thanks; for this is ...

"Blog Y2 078 - Choose Faith Over Worldly Fear."

Image
The fear of man brings a snare, But whoever trusts in the Lord shall be safe. Proverbs 29:25 Today's scripture highlights the contrast between the fear of man and trust in the Lord, offering a powerful reminder to God's children about the dangers of fearing human opinion and the importance of placing their trust in Him for safety and security.  Fear of man:  The fear of man is described as a snare—a trap or a dangerous obstacle that can entangle and harm us. This fear often leads people to compromise their beliefs, make decisions based on others' desires and approval, and live in a constant state of anxiety and insecurity.  Trust in the Lord:  Trusting in the Lord brings true safety, security, and peace. It is a call to faith, boldness, and confidence in the face of worldly pressures and fears.  Therefore, we must examine our hearts, confront our fears, and reaffirm our trust in God's unfailing promises.  What side are you choosing in your life—fear of man ...

"Blog Y2 054 - Seek God's Light and Walk in Faith"

Image
For with You is the fountain of life; In Your light we see light. Psalm 36:9. King David praised God as He is both the fountain of life; and the source of true light. As the fountain of living waters, He gives joy to those who trust in Him. God is light and in Him is no darkness at all. Jesus Christ is the Light of the World.  Like David, we are called to seek God's light, follow His path, and walk in faith. The Gospel of John shows that Jesus came to give life and light to all who believe in Him.  He is the life giver and He is the one who can enlighten our darkness.  He wants us to walk in His light. Are you truly seeking God’s light and walking in His path, as David did? John 8:12 says: "Then Jesus spoke to them again, saying, “I am the light of the world. He who follows Me shall not walk in darkness, but have the light of life."
