"God is much more reliable"

He who trusts in the Lord will be prospered. Proverbs 28:25.

Today's verse speaks about the blessings of the Lord when we put our trust in Him. When we trust someone, we feel comfortable being honest with them about anything. God is much more reliable than even our most trustworthy friend. When things are difficult, He expects us to share our disappointments and frustrations with Him. Our trust in Him is not only an act of dependency but also an act of obedience to His Word. The prosperity we can enjoy is when we put our trust in Him and live a worry-free life. The prophet Jeremiah says in Jeremiah 17:7, "Blessed is the man who trusts in the LORD, And whose hope is the LORD."

The Apostle John reminds us that no one has seen God in His true form because He is a spiritual being, and our human eyes can only perceive physical things. Like the wind, God is invisible. Even in the Bible, when figures like Abraham or Gideon encountered God or angels, they did not see God's full nature. Today, we don’t need to physically see God to know Him. When we love one another, we "see" God through our actions. When we show love, God abides in us, and His love helps us grow spiritually. Set your mind on things above, not on things on the earth. Colossians 3:2. One of the best thoughts to meditate on is keeping our minds on things that are above (heaven), not on things that are on the earth. As heaven and earth are far apart, they cannot be considered together; affection for one will weaken the other. It is a choice in front of us: whether we choose good or evil, life or death.
