"God is our ever-present help"

God is our refuge and strength, A very present help in trouble. Psalm 46:1.

Today's verse is a great promise for our protection. It says that our God is a rock of refuge and a tower of protection in whom we can hide during the storms and difficulties of life. We need safety and strength in everyday life. The Word of God says that He is our shield, our stronghold, and our hiding place where we find shelter. God is our ever-present help when we call upon His name to deliver us from all kinds of troubles.  In Psalm 9:9, King David says, “The LORD also will be a refuge for the oppressed, A refuge in times of trouble.”

தேவன் நமக்கு அடைக்கலமும் பெலனும், ஆபத்துக்காலத்தில் அநுகூலமான துணையுமானவர். சங்கீதம் 46:1.

இன்றைய வசனம் நமது பாதுகாப்பிற்கான ஒரு பெரிய வாக்குறுதியாகும். புயல்கள் மற்றும் வாழ்க்கையின் சிரமங்களின் போது நாம் ஒளிந்து கொள்ளக்கூடிய ஒரு அடைக்கலக் கன்மலை மற்றும் பாதுகாப்பின் கோபுரம் என்று அது கூறுகிறது. அன்றாட வாழ்வில் நமக்கு பாதுகாப்பும், பெலனும் தேவை. அவர் நமது கேடயமாகவும், நமது கோட்டையாகவும், நாம் அடைக்கலம் புகும்  நமது மறைவிடமாகவும் இருக்கிறார் என்று தேவனுடைய வார்த்தை கூறுகிறது. எல்லாவிதமான துன்பங்களிலிருந்தும் நம்மை விடுவிப்பதற்காக நாம் அவருடைய நாமத்தைக் கூப்பிடும்போது தேவன் நமக்கு எப்போதும் உதவியாளராக இருக்கிறார். சங்கீதம் 9:9 -ல் தாவீது ராஜா, “சிறுமைப்பட்டவனுக்குக் கர்த்தர் அடைக்கலமானவர்; நெருக்கப்படுகிற காலங்களில் அவரே தஞ்சமானவர்.” என்று கூறுகிறார்.

A soft answer turns away wrath, But a harsh word stirs up anger. Proverbs 15:1. King Solomon gives wise advice on handling anger. A gentle answer can calm a tense situation, while harsh words only make things worse. The word "wrath" here refers to intense anger that can lead to conflict. When we’re insulted or upset, it’s easy to respond with more anger, but this only fuels the fire. Instead, responding calmly and kindly can help defuse the situation. A gentle response shows wisdom, self-control, and care for the other person, reducing tension and preventing further conflict. When faced with anger or insult, how can you respond with gentleness and wisdom to show love and defuse the situation instead of fueling conflict? You who fear the Lord, trust in the Lord; He is their help and their shield. Psalm 115:11. This verse encourages those who fear the Lord to trust in Him, as He is their help and shield. We know that the fear of God is not about being afraid of Him; it is about giving Him reverence, honor, and priority in every area of our lives. The image of God as a 'help' and a 'shield' has deep meaning. In the ancient world, a shield was an essential piece of armor that provided protection from enemy attacks. Walk prudently when you go to the house of God; and draw near to hear rather than to give the sacrifice of fools, for they do not know that they do evil. Ecclesiastes 5:1. This scripture is a warning not to approach God's house without humility and careful thought. Proper preparation for worship is more important than the act of worship itself, especially if that worship is done without understanding. The reason why the "sacrifice of fools" is meaningless is that they lack knowledge—they don't want to listen and hear from God. This can happen in our lives as well. How many times do we attend church without preparing our hearts and minds? If we remain ignorant, our worship will not be acceptable to God. What is your attitude towards God when you go to church? "Believers, you have overcome the world."

You are of God, little children, and have overcome them, because He who is in you is greater than he who is in the world. 1 John 4:4. In this scripture, Apostle John refers to "little children" as young believers who are growing in the Lord every day. He encourages the believers as below: 1.   Saying, "You are of God," which means they are of His family; they have  embraced His truth, and His Spirit dwells with them. 2.   He mentions that these believers have "Overcome them," meaning they  have  taken victory over the evil one and the world. 3. He reminds us that the power of Christ, who lives in the believer, is greater  than the power of the world. The Holy Spirit living in us is far stronger than  any attack by the evil one. In this verse, the "poor" represent those who are economically and socially in need, while the "prisoners" symbolize those who are physically or emotionally captive. The Psalms frequently mention God’s concern for the suffering people in the world. Despite his suffering and rejection, King David maintains faith that God is not indifferent to his pain. He trusts in God's righteous character and finds comfort during hardship. This reminds us that God’s love and care reach everyone, especially those who are vulnerable and in need.
