"Tune your hearts towards God"

Bless the Lord, O my soul, and forget not all His benefits. Psalm 103:2

Here King David calls upon his soul to praise the Lord for all the blessings he has received. We can see David's heart through all the songs that he sang in the Bible. He was grateful always for what God has done for him. Similarly we should speak to our souls and get reminded of all the benefits we have received from God. When we forget what God has done to us, we murmur and blame God. Shall we tune our hearts this new year to give thanks to God always and to receive new blessings from Him? Let us praise God with King David as in Psalm 139:14, "I will praise You, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made; Marvelous are Your works, And that my soul knows very well." 

என் ஆத்துமாவே, கர்த்தரை ஸ்தோத்திரி; அவர் செய்த சகல உபகாரங்களையும் மறவாதே. சங்கீதம் 103:2.

இங்கு தாவீது ராஜா, தான் பெற்ற எல்லா ஆசீர்வாதங்களுக்காகவும் கர்த்தரைத் துதிக்க அவரது ஆத்துமாவோடு பேசுகிறார்.  பரிசுத்த வேதாகமத்தில் தாவீது பாடிய எல்லாப் பாடல்களிலும் அவருடைய இதயத்தை நாம் காணலாம்.  தேவன் தனக்குச் செய்ததற்கு அவர் எப்போதும் நன்றியுள்ளவராக இருந்தார்.  அதுபோலவே நாம், நம் ஆத்துமாக்களுடன் பேசி, தேவனிடமிருந்து நாம் பெற்ற அனைத்து நன்மைகளையும் நினைவுபடுத்த வேண்டும்.  கடவுள் நமக்கு செய்ததை நாம் மறந்துவிடும்பொழுது, முறுமுறுக்கிறோம், தேவனைக் குறை கூறுகிறோம்.  தேவனுக்கு எப்பொழுதும் நன்றி செலுத்தவும், அவரிடமிருந்து புதிய ஆசீர்வாதங்களைப் பெறவும் இந்தப் புத்தாண்டில் நம் இதயங்களைச் அவரிடமாகத் திருப்புவோமா?  சங்கீதம் 139:14-ல் உள்ளதைப் போல நாமும் தாவீது ராஜாவோடு சேர்ந்து தேவனைத் துதிப்போம். "நான் பிரமிக்கத்தக்க அதிசயமாய் உண்டாக்கப்பட்டபடியால், உம்மைத் துதிப்பேன், உமது கிரியைகள் அதிசயமானவைகள், அது என் ஆத்துமாவுக்கு நன்றாய்த் தெரியும்."
