"David, a man after God's heart."

Seek the Lord and His strength; Seek His face evermore! 1 Chronicles 16:11.

The greatest treasure of seeking the Lord is the promise that we find Him, and in finding Him, we receive life, strength, and power to navigate this challenging world. After King Saul's disobedience, the Lord sought a man after His own heart. In 1 Samuel 13:14 and Acts 13:22, we read that after removing Saul, God raised up David to be their king. Regarding David, God testified, 'I have found in David the son of Jesse a man after my heart, who will do all my will.' King David's own testimony, 'To seek His face,' signifies more than merely approaching Him out of need; it speaks of knowing Him and understanding His ways and thoughts. Let us, like David, seek His face to be strengthened in Him.  In Psalm 27:8, King David says. 'When You said, “Seek My face,” My heart said to You, “Your face, LORD, I will seek.”'

கர்த்தரைத் தேடுவதற்கான மிகப்பெரிய பொக்கிஷம், நாம் அவரைக் கண்டடைகிறோம் என்ற வாக்குறுதியாகும், அவரைக் கண்டுபிடிப்பதன் மூலம், இந்த சவாலான உலகத்தில் வழிநடக்க ஜீவனையும், பெலனையும், வல்லமையையும் பெறுகிறோம். சவுல் ராஜாவின் கீழ்ப்படியாமைக்குப் பிறகு, கர்த்தர் தம்முடைய இருதயத்திற்கு ஏற்ற ஒரு மனுஷனைத் தேடினார். 1 சாமுவேல் 13:14 மற்றும் அப்போஸ்தலர் 13:22 ல், சவுலை நீக்கிய பிறகு, தேவன் தாவீதை அவர்களின் ராஜாவாக எழுப்பினார் என்று வாசிக்கிறோம். தாவீதைக் குறித்து, தேவன், 'ஈசாயின் குமாரனாகிய தாவீதில், என் இருதயத்திற்கு ஏற்ற ஒரு மனுஷனைக் கண்டேன், அவன் என் சித்தத்தின்படி செய்வான்' என்றார். தாவீது ராஜாவின் சொந்த சாட்சி, “அவருடைய முகத்தைத் தேடுவதென்பது,” வெறுமனே தேவையிலிருந்து அவரை அணுகுவதை விட அதிகம்; அவரை அறிவதைப் பற்றியும், அவருடைய வழிகளையும் எண்ணங்களையும் புரிந்துகொள்வதைப் பற்றியும் அது பேசுகிறது. நாம், தாவீதைப்போல், தேவனில் பலப்பட அவரது முகத்தைத் தேடுவோம்.  சங்கீதம் 27:8 -ல் தாவீது ராஜா சொல்லுகிறார், “என் முகத்தைத் தேடுங்கள் என்று சொன்னீரே, உம்முடைய முகத்தையே தேடுவேன் கர்த்தாவே, என்று என் இருதயம் உம்மிடத்தில் சொல்லிற்று.”
