"Trust in the Lord brings blessings."

Blessed is the man who trusts in the Lord, And whose hope is the Lord. Jeremiah 17:7.

This is a powerful statement for those who trust in the Lord. Our God is a great source of help, strength, and comfort. When we trust the Lord, we can connect to a source of divine power to help us find a way out, even in the most challenging circumstances. The story of Daniel in the lion's den is another remarkable evidence of trust. Daniel was thrown into a den of lions for praying to God despite King Darius's decree that no one should pray to any god or man except the king. Daniel remained faithful and trusted God to save him, and God sent an angel to shut the mouths of the lions. This story teaches us that even in difficult situations, our trust in God should remain firm.  Psalm 146:5 says, "Happy is he who has the God of Jacob for his help, Whose hope is in the LORD his God."

The fear of the Lord is a fountain of life, To turn one away from the snares of death. Proverbs 14:27. This verse highlights the importance of fearing the Lord, showing that reverence for God brings life, protection, and wisdom. It reminds us that honoring God leads to a purposeful, fulfilling life, keeping us safe from spiritual destruction. The "fear of the Lord" is like a life-giving fountain, providing spiritual nourishment, joy, and purpose. It helps believers grow in their relationship with God, bringing wisdom and understanding. As Proverbs 1:7 says, it is the beginning of true knowledge. The fear of the Lord also protects us from the dangers of sin and death. It keeps us from falling into traps that lead us away from God, guiding us away from temptation and harmful choices. Psalm 19:9 says: "The fear of the Lord is clean, enduring forever; The judgments of the Lord are true and righteous altogether." Reflection: Am I living with a genuine fear of the Lor...

"Blog Y2 085 - God’s Love and Salvation Revealed"

Image
In this the love of God was manifested toward us, that God has sent His only begotten Son into the world, that we might live through Him. 1 John 4:9. Apostle John shares a powerful truth in this verse about God’s love and Jesus’ mission on Earth. It shows how much God loves us—He sent His one and only Son into the world. The term "only begotten Son" highlights how unique and special Jesus is. This verse also points to salvation—God’s plan to save us from sin and death. By believing in Jesus and living for Him, we can experience true, abundant life. Does knowing that God gave His Son for you, build your trust in Him? John 3:16 says: "For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life."

"Christ safeguards us from sin"

Image
He who has been born of God keeps himself, and the wicked one does not touch him. 1 John 5:18. Apostle John declares that everyone who believes that Jesus is Christ has been born of God, making them a child of God. When we acknowledge Jesus as the only God and accept Him as our Savior, the Holy Spirit enters our hearts and transforms us from our old selves into new individuals. From that moment on, Christ safeguards us from sin and protects us against the enemy's evil plans. The Bible affirms that whoever has been born of God does not sin, as His seed remains in them, and they cannot sin because they have been born of God. In John 3:3 , 'Jesus answered and said to him,' "Most assuredly, I say to you, unless one is born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God." I யோவான் 5:18.

"Blog Y2 048 - Focus on God during tough times"

Image
For this is commendable, if because of conscience toward God one endures grief, suffering wrongfully. 1 Peter 2:19. Apostle Peter is saying that when we face the worst in life, like unfair criticism, that's when we need to focus on God and the grace He gave us through Jesus. In life, we often bring suffering on ourselves through our own actions. Sometimes what we call "suffering for Jesus" is really the result of our own selfishness or carelessness.  Peter reminds us that there’s no reward for suffering caused by our own mistakes. Jesus didn’t sin or deceive; He only suffered for doing what was right. We should follow His example, being righteous, thoughtful, and careful in all we do. That way, if we suffer, it will truly be for the Lord.  Do you focus on God’s grace when facing unfair criticism? 1 Peter 3:14,15 says: “ But even if you should suffer for righteousness sake, you are blessed. “And do not be afraid of their threats, nor be troubled. But sanctify the Lord God...

"Blog Y2 045 - Faith in God’s Strength Brings Victory"

Image
Through You we will push down our enemies; Through Your name we will trample those who rise up against us. Psalm 44:5. The verse highlights the theme of faith and reliance on God's strength. Despite their distress, the Israelites continue to affirm their trust in God's power and His sovereignty over their enemies. It is a declaration of their faith in God's ability to deliver them from their troubles and grant them victory. We see God's protection, power, and victory over everything. We know how David killed Goliath in the name of the Lord. The psalmist says that we shall tread upon the lion and the cobra; the young lion and the serpent we shall trample underfoot with God’s authority. In the same way, we can push down our adversaries and trample the enemy who rises up against us. Will you trust in God's strength to help you overcome your adversaries and grant you victory? Psalm 60:12 says: “Through God we will do valiantly, for it is He who shall tread down our en...

"God's power will break the hardest situations"

Image
I will go before you  and make the  crooked places straight;  I will break in pieces the gates of bronze  and cut the bars of iron. Isaiah 45:2. This is an encouraging promise for us today: how God goes before us, making all our paths clear and removing all the obstacles that get in our way. The life ahead of us is not always smooth; it is crooked, hard, and difficult. With our wisdom and strength, we cannot move forward. However, when we trust in God, God's power will break the hardest situations, like the gates of bronze, and set us free from all captivities, as if releasing us from bars of iron. In Joseph's life, God broke the bars of iron and lifted him in Egypt. Let it be according to what the prophet Isaiah said and as referenced in Luke 3:5, "Every valley shall be filled, and every mountain and hill brought low; The crooked places shall be made straight and the rough ways smooth."

"Blog Y2 449 - Salvation: Grace, Not Works"

Image
God will render…. eternal life to those who by patient continuance in doing good seek for glory, honor, and immortality. Romans 2:6,7. In this scripture, Apostle Paul addresses the concept of judgment and how people will be judged by God. He emphasizes that God's judgment is fair and will be based on our actions and beliefs. However, the Bible teaches that no one can perfectly do good or achieve salvation by their works alone, because all have sinned (Romans 3:23). Eternal life is ultimately a gift from God, received through faith in Jesus Christ, not earned by good deeds (Ephesians 2:8-9). Good works are important as evidence of a genuine faith and relationship with God, but they are not the basis for salvation. A perfectly righteous life would theoretically earn eternal life, but since no one can achieve that standard apart from Jesus, salvation comes through grace, not human effort. James 1:12 says: "Blessed is the man who endures temptation; for when he has been approved,...
