"Zion, the source of divine blessings."

The Lord bless you out of Zion, And may you see the good of Jerusalem all the days of your life. Psalm 128:5

Zion, the city of holiness, the city of refuge, or the city of our God, can refer to one of three places: the hill where the most ancient areas of Jerusalem stood, the city of Jerusalem itself, or the dwelling place of God. As we see in today's scripture, Zion is the place where spiritual and everlasting blessings are stored up, along with the Holy God who dwells there and all other mercies we ask for. The goodness of God flows from Zion to Jerusalem, where we receive blessings - spiritually and physically - and rejoice in the Lord, praising His name. In order to receive such blessings, we need to have access to the God who is in Zion. How can we, as ordinary people, have access to the dwelling place of such a magnificent God? Jesus gained access for us to the dwelling place of God through the sprinkling of His own blood.  Hebrews 12:22 says, "But you have come to Mount Zion and to the city of the living God, the heavenly Jerusalem, to an innumerable company of angels."

கர்த்தர் சீயோனிலிருந்து உன்னை ஆசீர்வதிப்பார்; நீ ஜீவனுள்ள நாளெல்லாம் எருசலேமின் வாழ்வைக் காண்பாய். Psalm 128:5.

சீயோன் - பரிசுத்த நகரம், அடைக்கல நகரம் அல்லது நம் தேவனின் நகரம், இவைகளைப் பின்வரும் மூன்று இடங்களில்  ஓன்றைக்  குறிக்கலாம்: எருசலேமின் மிகப் பழமையான பகுதிகள் இருந்த மலை; எருசலேம் நகரம்; அல்லது தேவனின் வாசஸ்தலம். இன்றைய வசனத்தில் நாம் பார்க்கிறபடி, சீயோன் என்பது ஆவிக்குரிய மற்றும் நித்திய ஆசீர்வாதங்களும், அங்கு வாசம் செய்யும் பரிசுத்த தேவனும், நாம் கேட்கும் அனைத்து இரக்கங்களும்  சேர்ந்து இருக்கும் இடமாகும். தேவனுடைய நன்மை சீயோனிலிருந்து எருசலேமுக்கு பாய்கிறது, அங்கு நாம் ஆவிக்குரிய மற்றும் சரீரப்பிரகாரமாக ஆசீர்வாதங்களைப் பெற்று, அவருடைய நாமத்தைத் துதித்து கர்த்தருக்குள் களிகூருகிறோம். இத்தகைய ஆசீர்வாதங்களைப் பெறுவதற்கு, சீயோனில் இருக்கும் தேவனை நாம் சேர வேண்டும். சாதாரண மக்களாகிய நாம் எப்படி அத்தகைய மகத்தான கடவுளின் வாசஸ்தலத்தை சேர முடியும்? இயேசு தம்முடைய சொந்த இரத்தத்தை சிந்தினதின்  மூலம் தேவனுடைய வாசஸ்தலத்திற்கு நம்மை தகுதியாக்கினார்.  எபிரெயர் 12:22, 24 கூறுகிறது, "நீங்களோ சீயோன் மலையினிடத்திற்கும், ஜீவனுள்ள தேவனுடைய நகரமாகிய பரம எருசலேமினிடத்திற்கும், ஆயிரம் பதினாயிரமான தேவதூதர்களினிடத்திற்கும்,...(24 வந்துசேர்ந்தீர்கள்."
