"By Faith, Victory Over All Spiritual Enemies"

You shall tread upon the lion and the cobra, the young lion and the serpent you shall trample underfoot. Psalm 91:13.

This verse shows the power and authority that God's children, who are redeemed by the blood of Jesus Christ, have over the enemy. Here, King David mentioned four kinds of beasts and reptiles: the lion, cobra, young lion, and serpent. Normally, we are afraid to stand before these because they can kill us. These represent our spiritual and physical enemies: fear, death, sin, deception, and danger. Life’s unexpected hurts are like snake bites. But the verse says God has given us the power and authority to trample them if we trust in the Lord. David killed a lion and a bear when he was taking care of his sheep as a shepherd boy, with the power of God Almighty. And Jesus Christ trampled the old serpent, Satan, under His feet when He hung on the cross, destroying the principalities and powers. We, too, can trample over the enemy, satan, if we inherit such power and authority by having a personal relationship with Jesus. 1 John 5:4 says, "For whatever is born of God overcomes the world. And this is the victory that has overcome the world— our faith."

சிங்கத்தின்மேலும் விரியன் பாம்பின்மேலும் நீ நடந்து, பாலசிங்கத்தையும் வலுசர்ப்பத்தையும் மிதித்துப்போடுவாய். சங்கீதம் 91:13.

இயேசு கிறிஸ்துவின் இரத்தத்தினாலே மீட்கப்பட்ட தேவனுடைய பிள்ளைகள், சத்துரு மீது கொண்டுள்ள வல்லமையையும் அதிகாரத்தையும் இந்த வசனம் காட்டுகிறது. சிங்கம், நாகம், இளம் சிங்கம், பாம்பு ஆகிய நான்கு வகையான மிருகங்களையும் ஊரும் பிராணிகளையும் தாவீது ராஜா இங்கே குறிப்பிடுகிறார். பொதுவாக, அவைகள் நம்மைக் கொல்லக்கூடும் என்பதால் நாம் இவற்றின் முன் நிற்க பயப்படுகிறோம். பயம், மரணம், பாவம், மோசடி மற்றும் ஆபத்து  ஆகியவைகள், நமது ஆவிக்குரிய மற்றும் சரீரப்பிரகாரமான எதிரிகளை பிரதிநிதித்துவம் செய்கின்றன:. வாழ்க்கையில் எதிர்பாராத காயங்கள் பாம்பு கடி போன்றது. ஆனால் இந்த வசனம் கூறுகிறது, நாம் கர்த்தரை நம்பினால் அவைகளை மிதிக்க தேவன் நமக்கு வல்லமையையும் அதிகாரத்தையும் கொடுத்திருக்கிறார். தாவீது சர்வவல்லமையுள்ள தேவனின் வல்லமையால் ஆடுகளை மேய்க்கும் சிறுவனாக இருந்தபோது ஒரு சிங்கத்தையும் ஒரு கரடியையும் கொன்றார். இயேசு கிறிஸ்து சிலுவையில் தொங்கியபோது பழைய பாம்பாகிய சாத்தானைத் தன் காலடியில் மிதித்து, அவனுடைய ஆட்சிகளையும் அதிகாரங்களையும் அழித்தார்.  நாமும் இயேசுவுடன் தனிப்பட்ட உறவைக் கொண்டிருப்பதன் மூலம் அத்தகைய வல்லமையையும் அதிகாரத்தையும் சுதந்தரித்தால் எதிரியாகிய சாத்தானை மிதிக்க முடியும். 1 யோவான் 5:4 சொல்லுகிறது, "தேவனால் பிறப்பதெல்லாம் உலகத்தை ஜெயிக்கும்; நம்முடைய விசுவாசமே உலகத்தை ஜெயிக்கிற ஜெயம்."
