"God, our light and strength."

The LORD is my light and my salvation; Whom shall I fear? The LORD is the strength of my life. Psalm 27:1.

This is a psalm of confidence in God. There are times in our lives we feel like we are living in a world full of darkness. Although much of the world is lost in darkness, there is still a light. King David proclaimed that God was his light, his salvation, and his strength for the journey along the path of life. Light represents all that is good and is also a source of guidance. The Lord is the source of all goodness and light in our lives. He has given us His Word as a guide: "Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path." (Psalm 119:105) Sometimes, when we feel too weak to keep going, David reminds us that God always gives us strength and is the main source of everything in our lives. John 8:12 says,' Then Jesus spoke to them again, saying, “I am the light of the world. He who follows Me shall not walk in darkness, but have the light of life.”

கர்த்தர் என் வெளிச்சமும் என் இரட்சிப்புமானவர், யாருக்குப் பயப்படுவேன்? கர்த்தர் என் ஜீவனின் பெலனானவர், யாருக்கு அஞ்சுவேன்? சங்கீதம் 27:1.

இது தேவநம்பிக்கையின் சங்கீதம். நம் வாழ்வில் சில நேரங்களில் இருள் நிறைந்த உலகில் நாம் வாழ்வதைப் போல உள்ளது. உலகின் பெரும்பகுதி இருளில் மூழ்கியிருந்தாலும், இன்னும் ஒரு ஒளி இருக்கிறது. தாவீது ராஜா தேவன் அவருக்கு ஒளியாகவும், அவருடைய இரட்சிப்பாகவும், அவருடைய வாழ்க்கை பயணத்தில் பெலனாகவும் இருக்கிறார் என்று அறிவித்தார். வெளிச்சம் எல்லா நன்மைகளுக்கும், வழிகளுக்கும் ஆதாரமாகவும் உள்ளது. கர்த்தர் நம் வாழ்வில் எல்லா நன்மைக்கும் ஒளிக்கும் ஆதாரமாக இருக்கிறார். "உம்முடைய வசனம் என் கால்களுக்குத் தீபமும், என் பாதைக்கு வெளிச்சமுமாயிருக்கிறது"(சங்கீதம் 119:105) என்ற அவருடைய வார்த்தையை நமக்கு வழிகாட்டியாகத் தந்திருக்கிறார். சில நேரங்களில், நாம் தொடர்ந்து செல்ல மிகவும் பலவீனமாக உணரும்போது, தேவன் எப்போதும் நமக்கு பெலனைத் தருகிறார், நம் வாழ்வில் எல்லாவற்றிற்கும் முக்கிய ஆதாரமாக இருக்கிறார் என்பதைதத் தாவீது நமக்கு நினைவூட்டுகிறார். யோவான் 8:12 கூறுகிறது, "மறுபடியும் இயேசு ஜனங்களை நோக்கி: நான் உலகத்திற்கு ஒளியாயிருக்கிறேன், என்னைப் பின்பற்றுகிறவன் இருளிலே நடவாமல் ஜீவஒளியை அடைந்திருப்பான் என்றார்."
