"God turned a curse into a blessing"

The Lord your God turned the curse into a blessing for you, because the Lord your God loves you. Deuteronomy 23:5.

This is a great promise for the children of God, showing how He turned a curse into a blessing for us. King Balak tried to convince the prophet Balaam to curse Israel, but God put His words in Balaam's mouth to speak blessings over Israel. This is our God, who blesses His children even through the mouths of wicked people. We see here in this verse how much God loves His children. Because of His love for us, He sent His only Son, Jesus Christ, to die on the cross. He redeemed us from the curse of the law by becoming a curse for us—for it is written, ‘Cursed is everyone who is hanged on a tree’ (Galatians 3:13) —so that in Christ Jesus, the blessing of Abraham might come to the Gentiles. Galatians 3:14 says, "that the blessing of Abraham might come upon the Gentiles in Christ Jesus, that we might receive the promise of the Spirit through faith."

உன் தேவனாகிய கர்த்தர் உன்மேல் அன்புகூர்ந்தபடியினால், உன் தேவனாகிய கர்த்தர் அந்தச் சாபத்தை உனக்கு ஆசீர்வாதமாக மாறப்பண்ணினார். உபாகமம் 23:5.

இது தேவனுடைய பிள்ளைகளுக்கு ஒரு பெரிய வாக்குத்தத்தம், தேவன் ஒரு சாபத்தை நமக்கு எவ்வாறு ஆசீர்வாதமாக மாற்றினார் என்பதைக் காட்டுகிறது. இஸ்ரவேலை சபிக்கும்படி பிலேயாம் தீர்க்கதரிசி சம்மதிக்க வைக்கும்படிக்கு பாலாக் ராஜா முயன்றார், ஆனால் தேவன் இஸ்ரவேல் மீது ஆசீர்வாதங்களைப் பேச பிலேயாமின் வாயில் தம்முடைய வார்த்தைகளை வைத்தார். பொல்லாதவர்களின் வாய்களினாலே தமது பிள்ளைகளை ஆசீர்வதிக்க வைக்கிற தேவன் நம் தேவன். தேவன் தம்முடைய பிள்ளைகளை எவ்வளவு நேசிக்கிறார் என்பதை நாம் இந்த வசனத்தில் பார்க்கிறோம். நம்மீது அவர் வைத்திருந்த அன்பின் காரணமாக, அவர் தனது ஒரே மகனான இயேசு கிறிஸ்துவை சிலுவையில் மரிக்க அனுப்பினார். ஆபிரகாமின் ஆசீர்வாதம் புறஜாதியாருக்கு வரும்படிக்கு, 'மரத்திலே தூக்கப்பட்டவன் எவனோ அவன் சபிக்கப்பட்டவன்' (காலத்தியர் 3:13) என்று எழுதியிருக்கிறபடியால், நியாயப்பிரமாணத்தின் சாபத்தினின்று நம்மை மீட்டுக்கொண்டார். கலாத்தியர் 3:14 சொல்லுகிறது, “ஆபிரகாமுக்கு உண்டான ஆசீர்வாதம் கிறிஸ்து இயேசுவினால் புறஜாதிகளுக்கு வரும்படியாகவும், ஆவியைக்குறித்துச் சொல்லப்பட்ட வாக்குத்தத்தத்தை நாம் விசுவாசத்தினாலே பெறும்படியாகவும் இப்படியாயிற்று.”

I drew them with gentle cords, with bands of love, and I was to them as those who take the yoke from their neck. I stooped and fed them. Hosea 11:4. Just as a father loves his son, so God loved Israel and delivered His people from slavery in Egypt. Though they turned to idols, God’s love remained, and He cared for them. He demonstrated His love by sending His only Son, Jesus Christ, who gave His life for us. Through His teachings, suffering, and death, He redeems and transforms us, binding us to Himself. In return, we are called to love Him for all He has done and continues to do. He desires a close relationship with us daily. Will you love God and seek a closer relationship with Him for all He has done for you? No one has seen God at any time. If we love one another, God abides in us, and His love has been perfected in us. 1 John 4:12. The Apostle John reminds us that no one has seen God in His true form because He is a spiritual being, and our human eyes can only perceive physical things. Like the wind, God is invisible. Even in the Bible, when figures like Abraham or Gideon encountered God or angels, they did not see God's full nature. Today, we don’t need to physically see God to know Him. When we love one another, we "see" God through our actions. When we show love, God abides in us, and His love helps us grow spiritually. Whatever is incomplete or imperfect in our lives, God's love fills those gaps. His love is the greatest gift, providing everything we need to live for Him and to love others. Today's verse speaks about God's blessings in store for His chosen people who are saved through Jesus Christ. Let us explore what God says about the two places mentioned in this verse: Sharon and the Valley of Achor. Sharon refers to the plain south of Mount Carmel, situated between the central mountain range and the Mediterranean Sea. It is a fertile agricultural area. The Valley of Achor, located northwest of Jericho on the northern border of the tribe of Judah, is where the Israelites executed Achan and his household. "We need to submit ourselves to Christ"

Set your mind on things above, not on things on the earth. Colossians 3:2. One of the best thoughts to meditate on is keeping our minds on things that are above (heaven), not on things that are on the earth. As heaven and earth are far apart, they cannot be considered together; affection for one will weaken the other. It is a choice in front of us: whether we choose good or evil, life or death. Choosing evil things will lead us towards death without hope of eternal heaven. Choosing good things will take us to heaven the eternal life. To choose life, we need to seek God, obey His word, and faithfully follow Him. We need to submit ourselves to Christ to be renewed day by day. A man’s pride will bring him low, But the humble in spirit will retain honor. Proverbs 29:23. Today's verse highlights that pride leads to destruction, while humility brings honor. King Solomon speaks about the destructive nature of pride in personal relationships and the importance of humility in our interactions with others. Pride led to Satan's fall from heaven and is the root of many sins. Pride comes from selfishness and shows itself in envy, greed, anger, rebellion, and stubbornness. Humility, on the other hand, is a gentle spirit that puts others first. By rejecting pride, seeking Christ with gratitude, and growing in humility, we reflect Jesus’ character. The voice of the Lord is powerful; The voice of the Lord is full of majesty. Psalm 29:4. King David describes the voice of the Lord as powerful and full of majesty. This verse shows that God is King, with the power to command all His creations. God's voice is full of majesty, splendor, honor, and glory, and it is beautiful to those who love Him. His voice straightens all the crooked places. Satan trembles at the sound of His voice. We need to hear His voice and listen to Him in the midst of all the noise, such as the chaos and violence in the world.  His voice gives us comfort and peace in difficult times. Just a word from Him grants us wisdom, knowledge, and understanding.
