"God's power destroys oppressive yokes."

For now I will break off his yoke from you, And burst your bonds apart. Nahum 1:13.

In this verse, Prophet Nahum states that the power of Nineveh will be destroyed to break the yoke laid upon Judah. Nahum emphasizes God's sovereignty over nations and individuals. The Lord God will be the one to destroy Nineveh, and He alone will restore the splendor of Jacob. Nahum's prophecy encourages Christ's followers today to trust in God's ultimate control and His ability to bring down the powers of evil. Despite discouraging circumstances, believers can find hope and confidence in God’s sovereign reign. When we trust in His power and might, He will break the yoke upon us and grant us victory over everything.  This is the confidence and hope we have in our God. Isaiah 10:27 says, "It shall come to pass in that day That his burden will be taken away from your shoulder, And his yoke from your neck, And the yoke will be destroyed because of the anointing oil."

இப்போதும் நான் உன்மேல் இருக்கிற அவன் நுகத்தை முறித்து, உன் கட்டுகளை அறுப்பேன். நாகூம் 1:13.

இவ்வசனத்தில் நாகூம் தீர்க்கதரிசி யூதாவின் மீது சுமத்தப்பட்ட நுகத்தை முறித்துப்போட நினிவேயின் வல்லமை அழிக்கப்படும் எனக் கூறுகிறார். நாகூம், தேசங்கள் மீதும் தனிநபர்கள் மீதும் தேவனுடைய மேலான அதிகாரத்தை  வலியுறுத்துகிறார். கர்த்தராகிய தேவனே நினிவேயை அழிப்பார், அவர் ஒருவரே யாக்கோபின் மகிமையை மீட்டெடுப்பார். நாகூமின் தீர்க்கதரிசனம், இந்தநாட்களில் கிறிஸ்துவைப் பின்பற்றுபவர்கள்  தேவனின் மேலான அதிகாரத்தையும், தீய சக்திகளை வீழ்த்துவதற்கான அவரது வல்லமையையும் நம்பும்படி ஊக்குவிக்கிறது. பெலனற்ற சூழ்நிலைகளின் மத்தியிலும்கூட, விசுவாசிகள் தேவனுடைய மேலான அதிகாரத்தில் நம்பிக்கை வைக்க  முடியும். அவருடைய வல்லமையிலும் அதிகாரத்திலும் நாம் நம்பிக்கை வைக்கும்போது, அவர் நம்மீதுள்ள பாரமான நுகத்தை உடைத்து, எல்லாவற்றிலும் வெற்றியைத் தருவார்.  இதுவே நாம் தேவன் மீது வைத்திருக்கும் நம்பிக்கையும் தைரியமுமாகும்.  ஏசாயா 10:27 கூறுகிறது, "அந்நாளில் உன் தோளினின்று அவன் சுமையும், உன் கழுத்தினின்று அவன் நுகமும் நீக்கப்படும்; அபிஷேகத்தினால் நுகம் முறிந்துபோம்."
