"Wisdom Begins with Fearing God"

For the Lord gives wisdom; from His mouth come knowledge and understanding. Proverbs 2:6.

Wisdom is God's treasure, and He offers it to us. We need to seek it with all our hearts, and He will give us His understanding. Wisdom starts with fearing the Lord, as stated in Proverbs 9:10: “The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom, And the knowledge of the Holy One is understanding." The basis for fearing God is humility, deep reverence, and submission. If we have these qualities, God will grant us wisdom, knowledge, and understanding. This will help us to identify right and wrong, good and evil, and to live a successful and peaceful life. King Solomon asked God for an understanding heart to judge His people and to discern between good and evil. So, we need to ask God for wisdom, just as King Solomon did. James 1:5 says, "If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him."

கர்த்தர் ஞானத்தைத் தருகிறார்; அவர் வாயினின்று அறிவும் புத்தியும் வரும். நீதிமொழிகள் 2:6.

ஞானம் தேவனின் பொக்கிஷம், அவர் அதை நமக்கு வழங்குகிறார். நாம் அதை முழு இருதயத்தோடும் தேட வேண்டும், அப்பொழுது அவர் தம்முடைய புரிதலை நமக்குத் தருவார். நீதிமொழிகள் 9:10-ல் "கர்த்தருக்குப் பயப்படுதலே ஞானத்தின் ஆரம்பம்; பரிசுத்தரின் அறிவே அறிவு." என்று கூறப்பட்டுள்ளபடி, கர்த்தருக்குப் பயப்படுவதிலிருந்து ஞானம் தொடங்குகிறது. மனத்தாழ்மை, ஆழ்ந்த பயபக்தி, கீழ்ப்படிதல் ஆகியவையே தேவனுக்குப் பயப்படுவதற்கான அடிப்படை. இந்தக் குணங்கள் நம்மிடம் இருக்குமானால், தேவன் நமக்கு ஞானத்தையும், அறிவையும், புத்தியையும் தருவார். இது சரி மற்றும் தவறு, நல்லது மற்றும் தீயது  என அடையாளம் கண்டு வெற்றிகரமான மற்றும் சமாதானமான வாழ்க்கை வாழ உதவும். சாலொமோன் ராஜா தம்முடைய ஜனங்களை நியாயந்தீர்க்கவும், நன்மை தீமை எது என்பதைப் பகுத்தறியவும் புரிந்துகொள்ளும் இருதயத்தை தேவனிடம் கேட்டார். அதனால், சாலொமோன் ராஜாவைப் போலவே நாமும் ஞானத்தை தேவனிடம் கேட்க வேண்டும். யாக்கோபு 1:5 சொல்லுகிறது, “உங்களில் ஒருவன் ஞானத்தில் குறைவுள்ளவனாயிருந்தால், யாவருக்கும் சம்பூரணமாய்க் கொடுக்கிறவரும் ஒருவரையும் கடிந்துகொள்ளாதவருமாகிய தேவனிடத்தில் கேட்கக்கடவன், அப்பொழுது அவனுக்குக் கொடுக்கப்படும்.”
