"Blessings Abound Through Obedience and Tithing"

The Lord your God may bless you in all the work of your hand which you do. Deuteronomy 14:29.

This is a wonderful promise about the blessings of God in all the works of our hands. Let us see how we receive these blessings in our lives by giving tithe to God. Deuteronomy 14:22-29 talks about the blessings that follow us by tithing from all the increase of the grain that the field produces year by year. The definition of tithe comes from a Hebrew root and means "a tenth." Tithing refers to giving 10 percent of our household income, including wages we earn from our employment, produce, livestock, possessions, etc. King Solomon says in Proverbs 3 that when we honor the Lord with our possessions and the first fruits of all our increase, our barns will be filled with plenty, and our vats will overflow with new wine. This means that when we honor the Lord with our blessings, He will bless us abundantly. In Deuteronomy 28:1-14, all the blessings are promised if we diligently obey His voice. Are we ready to listen to His words and obey in order to receive all the blessings? Deuteronomy 28:12 says, "The LORD will open to you His good treasure, the heavens, to give the rain to your land in its season, and to bless all the work of your hand. You shall lend to many nations, but you shall not borrow."

உன் கை செய்யும் வேலையிலெல்லாம் உன் தேவனாகிய கர்த்தர் உன்னை ஆசீர்வதிப்பார். உபாகமம் 14:29.

நம்முடைய கரத்தின் சகல கிரியைகளிலும் தேவனுடைய ஆசீர்வாதங்களைப் பற்றிய அற்புதமான வாக்குத்தத்தம் இது. தேவனுக்கு தசமபாகம் கொடுப்பதன் மூலம் இந்த ஆசீர்வாதங்களை நம் வாழ்க்கையில் எவ்வாறு பெற்றுக்கொள்கிறோம் என்று பார்ப்போம். உபாகமம் 14: 22-29 ஆண்டுதோறும் வயல் உற்பத்தி செய்யும் தானியத்தின் அனைத்து அதிகரிப்பிலிருந்தும் தசமபாகம் செய்வதன் மூலம் நம்மைப் பின்தொடரும் ஆசீர்வாதங்களைப் பற்றி பேசுகிறது. தசமபாகத்தின் வரையறை எபிரேய வேரிலிருந்து வந்தது , அதற்கு "பத்தில் ஒரு பங்கு" என்று பொருள். தசமபாகம் என்பது நமது வேலை, உற்பத்தி, கால்நடைகள், உடைமைகள் போன்றவற்றிலிருந்து நாம் சம்பாதிக்கும் ஊதியம் உட்பட நமது வீட்டு வருமானத்தில் 10 சதவீதத்தை கொடுப்பதைக் குறிக்கிறது. நீதிமொழிகள் 3-ல் சாலொமோன் ராஜா கூறுகிறார், நம்முடைய ஆஸ்திகளினாலும், நம்முடைய எல்லா விளைச்சலின் முதற்பலன்களினாலும் கர்த்தரை கனம்பண்ணும்போது, நம்முடைய களஞ்சியங்கள் ஏராளமாக நிரம்பியிருக்கும், நம்முடைய பாத்திரங்கள் புதிய திராட்சரசத்தால் நிரம்பி வழியும். அதாவது, நமது ஆசீர்வாதங்களால் கர்த்தரை கனப்படுத்தும்போது, அவர் நம்மை பரிபூரணமாக ஆசீர்வதிப்பார். உபாகமம் 28:1-14-ல், அவருடைய குரலுக்கு நாம் விடாமுயற்சியுடன் கீழ்ப்படிந்தால் எல்லா ஆசீர்வாதங்களும் வாக்களிக்கப்படுகின்றன. எல்லா ஆசீர்வாதங்களையும் பெறுவதற்காக அவருடைய வார்த்தைகளைக் கேட்டு கீழ்ப்படிய நாம் ஆயத்தமாக இருக்கிறோமா?  உபாகமம் 28:12 கூறுகிறது, “ஏற்றகாலத்தில் உன் தேசத்திலே மழை பெய்யவும், நீ கையிட்டுச்செய்யும் வேலைகளையெல்லாம் ஆசீர்வதிக்கவும், கர்த்தர் உனக்குத் தமது நல்ல பொக்கிஷசாலையாகிய வானத்தைத் திறப்பார்; நீ அநேகம் ஜாதிகளுக்குக் கடன்கொடுப்பாய், நீயோ கடன் வாங்காதிருப்பாய்”
