"Delight in God's Word Always"

I will delight myself in Your statutes; I will not forget Your word. Psalm 119:16.

In this verse, the Psalmist expresses his delight in God’s word. The word "delight" means “to gain great pleasure, satisfaction, and happiness.” He enjoyed meditating on God's word because it brought him great pleasure, peace, joy, and satisfaction. When we carefully treasure God's word within us, God fills our hearts with wisdom and knowledge, and we are not easily deceived by wicked people. King David says in Psalm 1 that if we delight in the law of the Lord, we will be like a tree planted by streams of water, which yields its fruit in season and whose leaf does not wither. Whatever we do shall prosper. It is our choice to live our lives in His word. When we do not delight in God’s word, we are inclined to forget it. Another blessing of delighting in His word is knowing His will and our future plans. Psalm 37:4 says, "Delight yourself also in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart."

உமது பிரமாணங்களில் மனமகிழ்ச்சியாயிருக்கிறேன்; உமது வசனத்தை மறவேன். சங்கீதம் 119:16

இந்த வசனத்தில், சங்கீதக்காரன் தேவனுடைய வார்த்தையில் தனது மகிழ்ச்சியை வெளிப்படுத்துகிறார். "மகிழ்ச்சி" என்ற வார்த்தைக்கு "மிகுந்த சந்தோஷம், திருப்தி மற்றும் இன்பத்தைப் பெறுவது" என்று அர்த்தம். தேவனுடைய வார்த்தையை ஆழமாக யோசித்துப்பார்ப்பது அவருக்கு மகிழ்ச்சியாக இருந்தது. ஏனென்றால், அது அவருக்கு மிகுந்த சந்தோஷத்தையும் சமாதானத்தையும் திருப்தியையும் தந்தது. தேவனுடைய வார்த்தையை நமக்குள் நாம் கவனமாக பொக்கிஷமாக வைத்திருக்கும்போது, தேவன் நம் இதயங்களை ஞானத்தாலும் அறிவாலும் நிரப்புகிறார், பொல்லாதவர்களால் நாம் எளிதில் ஏமாற்றப்படுவதில்லை. தாவீது ராஜா சங்கீதம் 1-ல் கூறுகிறார், நாம் கர்த்தருடைய வேதத்தில் பிரியமாயிருந்தால், நீரோடைகளின் ஓரத்தில் நடப்பட்ட மரத்திற்கு ஒப்பாவோம், அது காலப்போக்கில் தன் கனியைத் தருகிறது, இலை வாடாதிருக்கிறது. நாம் எது செய்தாலும் அது வாய்க்கும். அவருடைய வார்த்தையில் நம் வாழ்க்கையை வாழ்வது நமது அனுக்கிரகம். கடவுளுடைய வார்த்தையில் நாம் மகிழ்ச்சியடையாதபோது, அதை மறந்துவிட முயறச்சி  செய்கிறோம். அவருடைய வார்த்தையில் மகிழ்ச்சியடைவதில் உள்ள மற்றொரு ஆசீர்வாதம், அவருடைய சித்தத்தையும் நமது எதிர்காலத் திட்டங்களையும் அறிவதாகும். சங்கீதம் 37:4 சொல்லுகிறது, "கர்த்தரிடத்தில் மனமகிழ்ச்சியாயிரு; அவர் உன் இருதயத்தின் வேண்டுதல்களை உனக்கு அருள்செய்வார்."

Blog # 315 - "Fear of God brings life and safety."

The fear of the Lord leads to life, And he who has it will abide in satisfaction; He will not be visited with evil. Proverbs 19:23. King Solomon emphasizes the importance of the fear of the Lord in this chapter. He mentions that when we fear God, we receive life, satisfaction, and safety.        First , fearing God leads to life. Since the fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom, it leads to a life of happiness, prosperity, and success. The Word of God says that the fear of the Lord is a life-giving fountain that prolongs days.       Second , the fear of the Lord brings lasting satisfaction. God reserves peace for those who fear Him.       Third , the fear of the Lord saves from evil. The LORD  is  near to those who have a broken heart, And saves such as have a contrite spirit. Psalm 34:18 In everyday life, we experience the pain of brokenness and are full of regret. In today's verse, we understand that God is near to those with the heart filled with hurt, grief, guilt, shame, and He saves the crushed spirit. But the Bible says that only God can heal the broken hearts and bind up their wounds. Jesus is the great example for us; He went through the pain in the garden of Gethsemane and shed every drop of blood on the cross to save our lives from the pain of brokenness. He can understand whatever we go through. If we humble ourselves and repent to Him with a broken heart, He will heal our brokenness and fill us with the joy of salvation. That before they call, I will answer; And while they are still speaking, I will hear. Isaiah 65:24. The answer to our prayers is prepared before we pray. He is more ready to hear than we are to pray! While we are praying to Him, He hears, answers, and grants our requests, and more, just as He did for Daniel. Gabriel, an angel from God, brought God’s answer to Daniel. At the moment Daniel began praying, God sent this messenger to speak to him (Daniel 9:20-23). This shows the Lord’s readiness to help and assist us in times of trouble or fear and is a great encouragement to approach the throne of grace constantly. He has made large and firm promises of answer when we pray. Yet, sometimes, His answer is a refusal; other times, it is a delay, and at other times, it is the gift of something we did not even ask for. "Trust God in fearful times; find strength."

“Behold, God, my salvation! I will trust and not be afraid, For the LORD GOD is my strength and song; Yes, He has become my salvation.”  Isaiah 12:2. In today's world, we all go through fearful and unstable situations in our lives. Sometimes, those moments occur when we’re worried about our families or friends; at other times, we may be concerned about our careers or work-related problems. There may also be times when our health declines or something accidental occurs in our lives. But today, God's word says that we should trust Him and not be afraid of anything. His words are truthful; He is our salvation, our strength, and our song. He gave His life to give us the gift of Salvation. Let us focus on the goodness of God and choose to let Him be our strength. Isaiah 41:10 says, "Fear not, for I am with you; Be not dismayed, for I am your God. "The Lord is my Helper"

My help  comes  from the  Lord ,  Who made heaven and earth. Psalm 121:2 In every one of our lives, there are situations that go beyond our control. At that time, we turn to God for help. Today’s verse says that our help comes from the Maker of heaven and earth. He gave His only son, Jesus, to redeem our lives from sin, addiction, depression, sickness, weakness, sorrow, pain, emotional hurt, mental health issues, and bondages. If we trust Him, He is there to help us, heal us, provide for us, and protect us. He will never leave us nor forsake us. Let us pray with David, "Hear, O Lord, and be merciful to me! Out of Zion, the perfection of beauty, God will shine forth. Psalm 50:2. In this scripture, we find a powerful declaration of God's sovereignty and presence. Here, Zion symbolizes the place of God's dwelling and His glory. It is not only a physical location (Mount Zion in Jerusalem) but also a representation of God's reign, beauty, and His relationship with His people. This setting highlights both God's majesty and His intimate relationship with His people. In the Hebrew Scriptures, beauty is often associated with holiness and purity, used to describe God's righteousness and splendor. God is reminding us of the importance of worship and obedience before Him. When we worship Him with holiness and purity, His divine radiance and glory will shine upon us.
