"Do Good and Reap Happiness"

And let us not grow weary while doing good, for in due season we shall reap if we do not lose heart. Galatians 6:9.

Apostle Paul wrote this verse to the church in Galatia, knowing that they were struggling with the responsibilities of day-to-day life. He encouraged them not to grow weary in doing good, assuring them that in due season, God would perform miracles if they did not lose heart. Often, we feel discouraged when people repay our kindness with negativity. However, as children of God, we should persist in doing good, even when others try to bring us down and trust that God will lift us up in His perfect timing. For example, King David had the opportunity to kill King Saul, who had repeatedly tried to kill him, but David chose not to. Because of his goodness, God exalted David to be king. Similarly, if we remain steadfast and bold in doing good to others without expecting anything in return, we, too, will reap a harvest in due season, and great things will happen in our lives. Psalm 126:5 says, “Those who sow in tears Shall reap in joy.”

நன்மைசெய்கிறதில் சோர்ந்துபோகாமல் இருப்போமாக; நாம் தளர்ந்துபோகாதிருந்தால் ஏற்றகாலத்தில் அறுப்போம். கலாத்தியர் 6:9.

கலாத்தியாவில் உள்ள சபையிலுள்ளவர்கள் அன்றாட வாழ்க்கையின் பொறுப்புகளுடன் போராடுகிறார்கள் என்பதை அறிந்த அப்போஸ்தலனாகிய பவுல் இந்த வசனத்தை எழுதினார். நல்லது செய்வதில் சோர்ந்துபோகாமல் இருக்கும்படி அவர்களை உற்சாகப்படுத்தினார். அவர்கள் சோர்ந்துபோகாமல் இருந்தால் ஏற்ற காலத்தில் தேவன் அற்புதங்களைச் செய்வார் என்றும் உறுதியளித்தார். பெரும்பாலும், மக்கள் நாம் செய்த நல்ல காரியங்களை  மறந்து, நமக்கு எதிராக திருப்பிச் செலுத்தும்போது நாம் சோர்ந்துபோகிறோம். இருப்பினும், தேவனுடைய பிள்ளைகளாகிய நாம், மற்றவர்கள் நம்மை வீழ்த்த முயற்சித்தாலும், நன்மை செய்வதில் விடாமுயற்சியுடன் இருக்க வேண்டும், மேலும் தேவன் தம்முடைய ஏற்ற காலதில் நம்மை உயர்த்துவார் என்று நம்ப வேண்டும். உதாரணமாக, பலமுறை அவரைக் கொல்ல முயன்ற சவுலைக் கொல்ல தாவீது ராஜாவுக்கு வாய்ப்பு கிடைத்தது, ஆனால், தாவீது அதற்காக சவுலைக் கொல்லவில்லை. தாவீதின் நற்குணத்தின் காரணமாக, தேவன் தாவீதை ராஜாவாக உயர்த்தினார். அதேபோல, பிரதிபலன் எதையும் எதிர்பார்க்காமல் மற்றவர்களுக்கு நன்மை செய்வதில் நாம் உறுதியாகவும் துணிச்சலாகவும் இருந்தால், நாமும் சரியான நேரத்தில் அதன் பலனை அடைவதுமன்றி, நம் வாழ்க்கையில் பெரிய காரியங்களையும் பெற்றுக்கொள்வோம். சங்கீதம் 126:5 கூறுகிறது, “கண்ணீரோடே விதைக்கிறவர்கள் கெம்பீரத்தோடே அறுப்பார்கள்.”
