"Embrace the New in Christ"

Do not remember the former things, nor consider the things of old. Behold, I will do a new thing; now it shall spring forth; Shall you not know it? I will even make a road in the wilderness and rivers in the desert.  Isaiah 43:18, 19.

This is a great promise of God for us today. Apostle Paul mentioned, "The old has passed away; behold, the new has come.” To become a new creation in Christ, we need to get rid of the old things. Often we get stuck with the things of the world and are unable to move forward. Fear about tomorrow prevents us from thinking about our future. Past hurts, mistakes, failures, brokenness, and pain pull us backward. Today, God is speaking to us to stop looking behind and start looking ahead. We should not dwell on the past. We need to fix our eyes on Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith. He is the beginning and the end. When we forget the past, we open a way for God to start a new chapter in us. We should trust in the Lord, who makes a road in the wilderness and rivers in the desert. Our God is almighty and powerful. When we yield ourselves to God, He will do wonders.  2 Corinthians 5:17 says,' Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new.'                                                                                                                                                                                                              முந்தினவைகளை நினைக்கவேண்டாம்; பூர்வமானவைகளைச் சிந்திக்கவேண்டாம். இதோ, நான் புதிய காரியத்தைச் செய்கிறேன்; இப்பொழுதே அது தோன்றும்; நீங்கள் அதை அறியீர்களா? நான் வனாந்தரத்திலே வழியையும், அவாந்தரவெளியிலே ஆறுகளையும் உண்டாக்குவேன். ஏசாயா 43:18,19.

இது இன்று நமக்கு தேவனுடைய பெரிய வாக்குத்தத்தம். அப்போஸ்தலனாகிய பவுல் குறிப்பிட்டார், "பழையன ஒழிந்துபோயின; எல்லாம் புதிதாயின." கிறிஸ்துவில் புதிய சிருஷ்டியாக மாற, நாம் பழைய காரியங்களை அகற்ற வேண்டும். பெரும்பாலும் நாம் உலக விஷயங்களில் சிக்கி முன்னேற முடியாமல் போகிறோம். நாளையைப் பற்றிய பயம் நமது எதிர்காலத்தைப் பற்றி சிந்திக்க விடாமல் தடுக்கிறது. கடந்த கால காயங்கள், தவறுகள், தோல்விகள், மனமுறிவுகள் மற்றும் வலி நம்மை பின்னோக்கி இழுக்கின்றன. இன்று, பின்னால் பார்ப்பதை நிறுத்திவிட்டு முன்னோக்கிப் பார்க்கத் தொடங்கும்படி தேவன் நம்மிடம் பேசுகிறார். நாம் கடந்த காலத்தை நினைத்துப் பார்க்கக் கூடாது. நம்முடைய விசுவாசத்தை உருவாக்கியவரும் முடிப்பவருமான இயேசுவின் மீது நம் கண்களை ஊன்ற வைக்க வேண்டும். ஆதியும் அந்தமும் அவரே. கடந்த காலத்தை நாம் மறக்கும்போது, தேவன் நம்மில் ஒரு புதிய அத்தியாயத்தைத் தொடங்க ஒரு வழியைத் திறக்கிறோம். வனாந்தரத்திலே வழியையும், அவாந்திர வெளியிலே ஆறுகளையும் உண்டாக்குகிற கர்த்தரை நாம் நம்பவேண்டும். நம்முடைய தேவன் சர்வவல்லமையும் வல்லமையுமுள்ளவர். நாம் தேவனுக்கு நம்மை ஒப்புக்கொடுக்கும்போது, அவர் அதிசயங்களைச் செய்வார். 2 கொரிந்தியர் 5:17 சொல்லுகிறது, “ இப்படியிருக்க, ஒருவன் கிறிஸ்துவுக்குள்ளிருந்தால் புதுச்சிருஷ்டியாயிருக்கிறான்; பழையவைகள் ஒழிந்துபோயின, எல்லாம் புதிதாயின.”
