"God is Our Strong Tower"

The name of the Lord is a strong tower; The righteous run to it and are safe. Proverbs 18:10.

This is a precious promise of God. In this scripture, the Lord is described as a strong tower. During the time when the book of Proverbs was written, a strong tower was a place of safe refuge that was sturdily built and heavily secured. Strong towers were constructed to hold large amounts of food and supplies in those days. It is also a place where people could run for safety when threatened by the enemy. If we believe in His name and follow His commandments faithfully, we will be protected from all dangers. Whenever we call upon His name with faith, we will be protected. God's name is a place of protection. If we put our trust in Him, we can run and be safe in His secret place. King David wrote in Psalm 91 about His protection as a refuge and fortress from all evil powers of the enemy. Psalm 91:2 says, “I will say of the Lord, “He is my refuge and my fortress; My God, in Him I will trust.”

இது தேவனுடைய விலைமதிப்பற்ற வாக்குத்தத்தம். இந்த வசனத்தில், கர்த்தர் ஒரு பெலனான கோபுரம் என்று விவரிக்கப்படுகிறார். நீதிமொழிகள் புத்தகம் எழுதப்பட்ட காலத்தில், பலமான கோபுரம் பாதுகாப்பான அடைக்கலமாக இருந்தது, அது உறுதியாகக் கட்டப்பட்டிருந்தது, பலத்த பாதுகாப்பும் இருந்தது. அந்த நாட்களில் அதிக அளவு உணவு மற்றும் பொருட்களை வைத்திருக்க வலுவான கோபுரங்கள் கட்டப்பட்டன. மேலும்  எதிரிகளால் அச்சுறுத்தப்பட்டால் மக்கள் பாதுகாப்புக்காக ஓடக்கூடிய இடமாகவும் இது இருந்தது. நாம் அவருடைய நாமத்தை விசுவாசித்து, அவருடைய கட்டளைகளை உண்மையுடன் பின்பற்றினால், எல்லா ஆபத்துகளிலிருந்தும் நாம் பாதுகாக்கப்படுவோம். நாம் அவருடைய நாமத்தை விசுவாசத்தோடு கூப்பிடும்போதெல்லாம் நாம் பாதுகாக்கப்படுவோம். தேவனுடைய பெயர் ஒரு பாதுகாக்கும் இடம். நாம் அவரில் நம்பிக்கை வைத்தால், நாம் ஓடி அவரது இரகசிய இடத்தில் பாதுகாப்பாக இருக்க முடியும். தாவீது ராஜா சங்கீதம் 91 இல் எதிரியின் அனைத்து தீய சக்திகளிலிருந்தும் அடைக்கலமாகவும் கோட்டையாகவும் தனது பாதுகாப்பைப் பற்றி எழுதினார். சங்கீதம் 91:2 சொல்லுகிறது, “நான் கர்த்தரை நோக்கி: நீர் என் அடைக்கலம், என் கோட்டை, என் தேவன், நான் நம்பியிருக்கிறவர் என்று சொல்லுவேன்.”
