"Reflect God's mercy through your life"

Blessed are the merciful, For they shall obtain mercy. Matthew 5:7.

Mercy is one of the defining characteristics of God. It includes showing kindness to those who don't deserve it and forgiving those who deserve punishment. It is an aspect of His unconditional love. However, He is a perfect God, and we are imperfect people. An imperfect person can show God's perfect mercy by aligning his or her life with the Word of God and by the work of the indwelling Holy Spirit. We can also reflect mercy by dying to self and living for others.  Jesus tells us that to those who are merciful to others, mercy will also be shown to them. Psalm 25:10 says, "All the ways of the Lord are loving and faithful toward those who keep the demands of his covenant."

இரக்கமுள்ளவர்கள் பாக்கியவான்கள்; அவர்கள் இரக்கம் பெறுவார்கள். மத்தேயு 5:7.

இரக்கம் என்பது தெளிவாக விவரிக்கப்பட்டுள்ள தேவனின் பண்புகளில் ஒன்றாகும். தகுதியற்றவர்களுக்குக் கருணை காட்டுவதும், தண்டனைக்குத் தகுதியானவர்களை மன்னிப்பதும் இதில் அடங்கும். இது அவரது நிபந்தனையற்ற அன்பின் ஒரு அம்சமாகும். இருப்பினும், அவர் ஒரு பரிபூரண தேவன், நாமோ குறைவுள்ளவர்கள். ஒரு குறைவுள்ள நபர் தனது வாழ்க்கையை தேவனுடைய வார்த்தையுடனும், நமக்குள்ளே வாசம் செய்யும் பரிசுத்த ஆவியானவரின் துணையுடனும் தேவனின் பரிபூரண இரக்கத்தைக் காட்ட முடியும். நாம் சுயத்துக்கு மரித்து, மற்றவர்களுக்காக வாழ்வதன் மூலம் நாம் இரக்கத்தைப் பிரதிபலிக்க முடியும்.  மற்றவர்களுக்கு இரக்கம் செய்பவர்களுக்கு, இரக்கம் காட்டப்படும் என்று இயேசு நமக்குச் சொல்கிறார். சங்கீதம் 25:10 கூறுகிறது, "கர்த்தருடைய உடன்படிக்கையையும் அவருடைய சாட்சிகளையும் கைக்கொள்ளுகிறவர்களுக்கு, அவருடைய பாதைகளெல்லாம் கிருபையும் சத்தியமுமானவைகள்.”
