Blog # 334 - "Parental guidance leads to a blessed life"

My son, hear the instruction of your father, And do not forsake the law of your mother; For they will be a graceful ornament on your head, And chains about your neck. Proverbs 1:8-9.

In this verse, King Solomon explains how the attitude of children towards their parents should be. Why should they listen to their parents? Fathers often give more instructions on how children should live, while mothers teach good character and guide them on how to live properly. God says that if children listen to and follow the teachings of both their mother and father, they will be a glory in their lives. Proverbs liken parental instructions to beautiful jewelry. Fathers instruct on how to build a well-disciplined life based on the word of God. Mothers teach how to love the Lord, how to establish a closer connection with Him, and how to seek God in times of need. A life built on such instructions and teachings shines like stars, with the brilliance of jewelry on the head and around the neck. Furthermore, children need to adhere to parental instructions to establish their lives well on this earth and to prolong their days.  

For Parents: Are you providing godly guidance and teaching your children both discipline and love for the Lord?

For Children: Are you listening to and following your parents' teachings to build a well-disciplined life and a strong relationship with God?

Deuteronomy 5:16 says, "Honor your father and your mother, as the LORD your God has commanded you, that your days may be long, and that it may be well with you in the land which the LORD your God is giving you."

என் மகனே, உன் தகப்பன் புத்தியைக் கேள், உன் தாயின் போதகத்தைத் தள்ளாதே. அவைகள் உன் சிரசுக்கு அலங்காரமான முடியும், உன் கழுத்துக்குச் சரப்பணியுமாயிருக்கும். நீதிமொழிகள் 1:8-9.

இந்த வசனத்தில், பிள்ளைகள் தங்கள் பெற்றோரிடம் எவ்வாறு இருக்க வேண்டும் என்பதை சாலொமோன் ராஜா விளக்குகிறார். அவர்கள் ஏன் தங்கள் பெற்றோர் பேச்சைக் கேட்க வேண்டும்? குழந்தைகள் எப்படி வாழ வேண்டும் என்பதற்கு அப்பாக்கள் அதிக அறிவுரைகளை வழங்குகிறார்கள், அதே நேரத்தில் தாய்மார்கள் நல்ல குணத்தை கற்பித்து எப்படி ஒழுங்காக வாழ வேண்டும் என்று வழிகாட்டுகிறார்கள். பிள்ளைகள் தங்கள் தாயும் தந்தையும் கற்பிக்கும் போதனைகளை கேட்டு அதன்படி நடந்தால், அது அவர்களது வாழ்வுக்கு மகிமையாக இருக்கும் என்று தேவன்  கூறுகிறார். பெற்றோரின் அறிவுரைகளை நீதிமொழிகள் அழகிய நகைகளுக்கு ஒப்பிடுகின்றன. தேவனுடைய வார்த்தையின் அடிப்படையில் ஒரு நல்ல ஒழுக்கமான வாழ்க்கையை எவ்வாறு கட்டியெழுப்புவது என்று தந்தைகள் அறிவுறுத்துகிறார்கள். கர்த்தரை எவ்வாறு நேசிப்பது, அவருடன் எவ்வாறு நெருங்கிய தொடர்பை ஏற்படுத்துவது, தேவைப்படும் காலங்களில் தேவனை எவ்வாறு தேடுவது என்பதை தாய்மார்கள் கற்பிக்கிறார்கள். அத்தகைய அறிவுறுத்தல்கள் மற்றும் போதனைகளின் அடிப்படையில் உருவாக்கப்பட்ட ஒரு வாழ்க்கை, தலையிலும் கழுத்திலும் நகைகள் பிரகாசத்துடன், நட்சத்திரங்களைப் போல பிரகாசிக்கிறது. மேலும், இந்த உலகில் தங்கள் வாழ்வை நன்கு நிலைநிறுத்திக் கொள்ளவும், தங்கள் வாழ் நாட்களை நீடிக்கவும் குழந்தைகள் பெற்றோர் போதனைகளை கடைப்பிடிக்க வேண்டும்.

பெற்றோருக்கு: தேவனுடைய வழிகாட்டுதலை வழங்கி, உங்கள் பிள்ளைகளுக்கு கர்த்தருக்கான ஒழுக்கம் மற்றும் அன்பு இரண்டையும் கற்பிக்கிறீர்களா?

பிள்ளைகளுக்கு: கட்டுப்பாடான வாழ்க்கையை அமைக்கவும், தேவனுடன் வலுவான உறவை உருவாக்கவும் உங்கள் பெற்றோர்களின் போதனைகளை கேட்டு, அதைப் பின்பற்றுகிறீர்களா?

 உபாகமம் 5:16 கூறுகிறது, “உன் தேவனாகிய கர்த்தர் உனக்குக் கொடுக்கிற தேசத்திலே உன் நாட்கள் நீடித்திருப்பதற்கும், நீ நன்றாயிருப்பதற்கும், உன் தேவனாகிய கர்த்தர் உனக்குக் கட்டளையிட்டபடியே, உன் தகப்பனையும் உன் தாயையும் கனம்பண்ணுவாயாக.”
