Blog # 336 - "God's promise of growth and stability"

‘If you will still remain in this land, then I will build you and not pull you down, and I will plant you and not pluck you up. For I relent concerning the disaster that I have brought upon you. Jeremiah 42:10.

This verse is a message of hope from God through the prophet Jeremiah to us today. Like the people of Israel, we have also rebelled many times against God's call and plan. We faced the consequences of making wrong choices and disobeying God. But when we come to Him by repenting and seeking Him with a truly submitted heart, we can see the move of God in us. Jeremiah uses the imagery of building and planting in this verse to convey growth, stability, and prosperity. God promises to 'build' us and not 'pull us down,' indicating that He will strengthen and establish us. Similarly, the promise to 'plant' the people and not 'pluck them up' suggests a sense of rootedness and permanence. This imagery communicates God's desire to bless and prosper His people if they choose to trust in Him and remain obedient. Are you willing to repent and seek God with a fully submitted heart, trusting in His promise to build, strengthen, and establish you? Psalm 37:3 says, "Trust in the LORD, and do good; Dwell in the land, and feed on His faithfulness."

இந்த வசனம் எரேமியா தீர்க்கதரிசி வழியாக இன்று நமக்கு தேவனிடமிருந்து வந்த நம்பிக்கையின் செய்தியாகும். இஸ்ரவேல் மக்களைப் போலவே, நாமும் தேவனுடைய அழைப்புக்கும் திட்டத்திற்கும் எதிராக பல முறை கலகம் செய்திருக்கிறோம். தவறான தீர்மானங்கள் எடுத்ததன் விளைவுகளையும் தேவனுக்குக் கீழ்ப்படியாமல் போனதன் விளைவுகளையும் நாம் அனுபவித்தோம். ஆனால் நாம் மனந்திரும்பி உண்மையான கீழ்ப்படிந்த இருதயத்தோடு அவரைத் தேடி  அவரிடம் வரும்போது, தேவனுடைய செயல்பாட்டை நம்மில் காணலாம். எரேமியா இந்த வசனத்தில் வளர்ச்சி, ஸ்திரத்தன்மை மற்றும் செழிப்பு ஆகியவற்றை வெளிப்படுத்த கட்டுதல் மற்றும் நடுதல் பற்றிய உருவகங்களைப் பயன்படுத்துகிறார். தேவன் நம்மை 'கட்டுவேன்' என்றும் 'கீழே தள்ளமாட்டேன்' என்றும் உறுதி அளிக்கிறார், இதன் மூலம் அவர் நம்மை பலப்படுத்தி நிலைநிறுத்துவார் என்பதை அறிகிறோம். அதேபோல், மக்களை 'நடுவேன்' என்ற வாக்குறுதி, 'அவர்களைப் பிடுங்காமல்' நிரந்தரமாக  வேரூன்ற வைப்பதையும் உணர்த்துகிறது. இந்த உருவகம், இறைவனின் மீது நம்பிக்கை வைத்து கீழ்ப்படியும் மக்களை ஆசீர்வதித்து செழிக்கச் செய்யும் அவரது விருப்பத்தை வெளிப்படுத்துகிறது. உங்களைக் கட்டவும், பெலப்படுத்தவும், ஸ்தாபிக்கவும் தேவன் கொடுத்த வாக்குறுதியை நம்பி, நீங்கள் மனந்திரும்பி பணிந்த இருதயத்தோடு தேவனைத் தேட ஆயத்தமா? சங்கீதம் 37:3 சொல்லுகிறது, “கர்த்தரை நம்பி நன்மைசெய்; தேசத்தில் குடியிருந்து சத்தியத்தை மேய்ந்துகொள்.”
