Blog # 357 - "Sow peace to reap righteousness."

Now the fruit of righteousness is sown in peace by those who make peace. James 1:18.

Today’s verse speaks about the fruit of righteousness. It is the peacemaker who sows seeds of peace to reap a harvest of righteousness. The Apostle James uses the word "peace" here to refer to the right relationships among people. He desires peace in the church and among believers, knowing that peace is the only environment in which righteousness can flourish. God loves peacemakers. The wisdom of this world produces trouble, while the wisdom from above produces peace among people. God-trusting, self-sacrificing heavenly wisdom is the source of peace, gentleness, mercy, and righteousness. Are you sowing seeds of peace to reap a harvest of righteousness? Matthew 5:9 says: "Blessed are the peacemakers for they shall be called sons of God."

நீதியாகிய கனியானது சமாதானத்தை நடப்பிக்கிறவர்களாலே சமாதானத்திலே விதைக்கப்படுகிறது. யாக்கோபு 3:18.

இன்றைய வசனம் நீதியாகிய கனியைப் பற்றிப் பேசுகிறது. சமாதானம் காப்பவரே, நீதியின் அறுவடையைப் பெற சமாதானமாகிய  விதைகளை விதைப்பார். அப்போஸ்தலனாகிய யாக்கோபு இங்கே "சமாதானம்" என்ற வார்த்தையை மக்களிடையே சரியான உறவுகளைக் குறிக்க பயன்படுத்துகிறார். அவர் திருச்சபையிலும் விசுவாசிகளிடையிலும் சமாதானத்தை விரும்புகிறார், ஏனெனில் சமாதானம் மட்டுமே நீதி செழித்து வளரக்கூடிய சூழலை உருவாக்குகிறது. சமாதானம் செய்பவர்களை தேவன் நேசிக்கிறார். இந்த உலகின் ஞானம் சிக்கல்களை உருவாக்குகிறது, ஆனால் பரத்திலிருந்து வரும் ஞானம் மக்களிடையே சமாதானத்தை உருவாக்குகிறது. தேவனைக் துதித்து, தன்னை வெறுத்து வெளிப்படும் பரலோக ஞானமே சமாதானம், சாந்தம், இரக்கம் மற்றும் நீதியின் ஊற்றாகும். நீங்கள் நீதியை அறுவடை செய்ய சமாதானமாகிய விதைகளை விதைக்கிறீர்களா? மத்தேயு 5:9 கூறுகிறது: “சமாதானம் பண்ணுகிறவர்கள் பாக்கியவான்கள்; அவர்கள் தேவனுடைய புத்திரர் என்னப்படுவார்கள்.”

"Jesus forgives, expects us likewise."

Father, forgive them, for they do not know what they do. Luke 23:34. This is one of the seven words spoken by Jesus while He was being crucified. Jesus is asking God to forgive those who were actually responsible for putting Him on the cross — the Jewish leaders, the Roman soldiers, and the crowd that was mocking Him. But His forgiveness is also for every person for whom He died, including you and me. This demonstrates His heart of compassion and unconditional love. Blog # 358 - "Trust in God's unchanging power"

Who delivered us from so great a death, and does deliver us; in whom we trust that He will still deliver us. 2 Corinthians 1:10. The Apostle Paul praises God for His power that delivered His children from death and dangers in the past, continues to do so in the present, and will do so forever. God is all-powerful. He is omnipotent. He is our deliverer and redeemer. He is the same yesterday, today, and forever. When all human hope and help fail, He is there to assist when we call upon His name. There is no one else like Him to give us hope when all doors are closed. We need to be thankful to Him for the past miracles so that we can witness future ones. Even today, He is ready to help us if we place our trust in Him, especially in times of trouble. "Blog Y2 052 - Living by God's Word daily"

Be doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving yourselves. James 1:22. Apostle James emphasizes the need to act on what we hear. He warns that we deceive ourselves if we think we can be hearers only and not doers of the Word. Those who sincerely love God are the ones who keep His commands. God desires that those who hear His Word become authentic followers of Jesus—disciples who obey the Lord’s teachings out of love for their Heavenly Father. Jesus also gave a stern warning to those who hear God's words but fail to act on them in Matthew 7:21,  "Not everyone who says to me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but only the one who does the will of my Father in heaven."  As faith without works is dead, merely hearing God's Word without putting it into practice also deadens our spiritual life. And the world is passing away, and the lust of it; but he who does the will of God abides forever. 1 John 2:17. There is a clear contrast between the two statements in this verse. Those who follow God's will live forever, while those who chase temporary worldly things will lose their life. The believers who please the world will lose their reward. The choice before us is whether to do God's will or satisfy our fleshly desires. When we accept Jesus as our Savior, we are called to follow His words and live with the mind of Christ, striving to do His will. However, if after receiving salvation we fall into worldly temptations—the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life—we will not enter into heaven. Many of us desire to do God's will, but are not willing to sacrifice what is necessary to please Him. For the  Lord   is  good;  His mercy  is  everlasting,  And His truth  endures  to all generations. Psalm 100:5  Here, David is thanking and praising God for three reasons. First, he speaks of the goodness of God; secondly, he mentions God's everlasting mercy, and thirdly, he emphasizes that God's truth extends to all generations. David expresses God's goodness with the words, "The earth is full of the goodness of the Lord." The Bible story of the prodigal son serves as a powerful representation of God's love, mercy, and faithfulness towards us as His children. God loved us unconditionally even when we were sinners, and He gave His life for us. Jesus is the truth that abides in us and will be with us forever. Let us join the Psalmist in praising Him, saying, "For His merciful kindness is great toward us, and the truth of the Lord endures forever. For the Lord hears the poor, And does not despise His prisoners. Psalm 69:33. This scripture describes the nature of our God as a compassionate God who cares for the poor and the oppressed. In this verse, the "poor" represent those who are economically and socially in need, while the "prisoners" symbolize those who are physically or emotionally captive. The Psalms frequently mention God’s concern for the suffering people in the world. Despite his suffering and rejection, King David maintains faith that God is not indifferent to his pain. He trusts in God's righteous character and finds comfort during hardship. This reminds us that God’s love and care reach everyone, especially those who are vulnerable and in need.
