Blog # Y2 011 - "Calling on God with Confidence"

As for me, I will call upon God, And the Lord shall save me. Evening and morning and at noon I will pray, and cry aloud, And He shall hear my voice. Psalm 55:16-17.

Here, King David speaks of calling upon God's name for salvation. He mentions crying out to the Lord three times a day with a loud voice. Why would David pray this way? It’s because he understands that only God can save him from all his fears, trials, and problems. Similarly, we can call upon the Lord when we are discouraged, afraid, or worried. Jesus bore all our burdens and sins on the cross and saved us. We should also have confidence in the Lord like David, constantly reaching out to Him in prayer and with thanksgiving. He hears our voice and delivers us when we pray continually. When you are afraid, do you cry out to the Lord with confidence in prayer?  Jeremiah 33:3 says: "Call to Me, and I will answer you, and show you great and mighty things, which you do not know."

நானோ தேவனை நோக்கிக் கூப்பிடுவேன்; கர்த்தர் என்னை இரட்சிப்பார். அந்திசந்தி மத்தியான வேளைகளிலும் நான் தியானம்பண்ணி முறையிடுவேன்; அவர் என் சத்தத்தைக் கேட்பார். சங்கீதம் 55:16-17.

இங்கே, தாவீது ராஜா தன்னுடைய இரட்சிப்புக்காக தேவனை வேண்டுவது குறித்து பேசுகிறார். ஒரு நாளைக்கு மூன்று முறை சத்தமாக கர்த்தரை நோக்கிக் ஜெபிப்பதைக் குறிப்பிடுகிறார். தாவீது ஏன் இப்படி ஜெபம் செய்தார்? ஏனென்றால், தேவன் மட்டுமே அவனை எல்லா பயங்கள், சோதனைகள், பிரச்சனைகளிலிருந்தும் காப்பாற்ற முடியும் என்பதை அவன் புரிந்துகொள்கிறான். அதேபோல், நாம் சோர்ந்துபோகும்போதும், பயப்படும்போதும் அல்லது கவலையில் இருக்கும்போதும் கர்த்தரை நோக்கிக் கூப்பிடலாம். இயேசு நம்முடைய எல்லா பாரங்களையும், பாவங்களையும் சிலுவையில் சுமந்து நம்மை இரட்சித்தார். நாமும் தாவீதைப் போல கர்த்தரில் நம்பிக்கை வைத்து, இடைவிடாமல் ஜெபத்தோடும் நன்றியோடும் அவரை அணுக வேண்டும். நாம் தொடர்ந்து ஜெபிக்கும்போது அவர் நம்முடைய ஜெபத்தைக் கேட்டு நம்மை விடுவிக்கிறார். நீங்கள் பயப்படும்போது, ஜெபத்தில் நம்பிக்கையுடன் கர்த்தரை நோக்கிக் கூப்பிடுகிறீர்களா?  எரேமியா 33:3 சொல்லுகிறது: “என்னை நோக்கிக் கூப்பிடு, அப்பொழுது நான் உனக்கு உத்தரவு கொடுத்து, நீ அறியாததும் உனக்கு எட்டாததுமான பெரிய காரியங்களை உனக்கு அறிவிப்பேன்.”
