"Blog Y2 036 - Hope in God, Overcome Your Struggles"

Why are you cast down, O my soul? And why are you disquieted within me? Hope in God; For I shall yet praise Him, The help of my countenance and my God. Psalm 43:5.

King David often speaks to his soul, encouraging himself to have hope in God and to glorify Him. In this verse, his praise quickly turns to sorrow and then to hope. He knew from past experiences that God would always be available when he needed Him. Aware of God's faithfulness, David speaks to himself, preparing his soul to trust in God. Similarly, the prophet Elijah experienced sorrow when he fled to Horeb to escape Jezebel's wrath (1 Kings 19:1–8). Even Jesus experienced trouble in His soul as He approached the time of His crucifixion (John 12:27–28). Yet, David refused to let his inner struggle win. He told his soul to hope in God and to remain confident that his sorrow would turn to praise. Like David, we should strive to overcome the troubles of this world. Do you speak to your soul and encourage yourself to trust in God during difficult times like King David did?  Romans 8:37 says: "Yet in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us."

என் ஆத்துமாவே, நீ ஏன் கலங்குகிறாய்? ஏன் எனக்குள் தியங்குகிறாய்? தேவனை நோக்கிக் காத்திரு; என் முகத்திற்கு இரட்சிப்பும் என் தேவனுமாயிருக்கிறவரை நான் இன்னும் துதிப்பேன். சங்கீதம் 43:5.

தாவீது ராஜா அடிக்கடி தன் ஆத்துமாவோடு பேசுகிறார், தேவன் மீது நம்பிக்கை வைத்து அவரை மகிமைப்படுத்த தன்னை உற்சாகப்படுத்துகிறார். இந்த வசனத்தில், அவரது புகழ்ச்சி விரைவில் துக்கமாகவும் பின்னர் நம்பிக்கையாகவும் மாறுகிறது. தனக்குத் தேவைப்படும்போது தேவன்  எப்போதும் இருப்பார் என்பதை கடந்த கால அனுபவங்களிலிருந்து தாவீது அறிந்திருந்தார். தேவனுடைய உண்மைத்தன்மையை அறிந்த தாவீது, தனக்குத்தானே பேசி, தேவனில் நம்பிக்கை வைக்க தன் ஆத்துமாவை ஆயத்தப்படுத்துகிறார். அதேபோல், எலியா தீர்க்கதரிசி, யேசபேலின் கோபத்திலிருந்து தப்பிக்க ஓரேபுக்கு ஓடிப்போனபோது துக்கத்தை அனுபவித்தார் (1 இராஜா 19:1-8). இயேசு சிலுவையில் அறையப்படும் நேரத்தை நெருங்கியபோது அவருடைய ஆத்துமாவில் கலங்கினார் (யோவான் 12:27-28). ஆனாலும், தாவீது தன் உள்ளான மனிதனின் போராட்டத்தை ஜெயிக்க விடவில்லை. தாவீது, தன் துக்கம், துதியாக  மாறும் என்ற நம்பிக்கையுடன் இருக்கும்படியும் தன் ஆத்துமாவிடம் சொன்னார். தாவீதைப் போலவே நாமும் இந்த உலகத்தின் துன்பங்களைச் சமாளிக்க முயற்சி செய்ய வேண்டும். தாவீது ராஜாவைப் போல கடினமான காலங்களில் தேவனில் நம்பிக்கை வைக்க நீங்கள் உங்கள் ஆத்துமாவுடன் பேசுகிறீர்களா?  ரோமர் 8:37 சொல்லுகிறது: “இவையெல்லாவற்றிலேயும் நாம் நம்மில் அன்புகூருகிறவராலே முற்றும் ஜெயங்கொள்ளுகிறவர்களாயிருக்கிறோமே”.
