"Blog Y2 071 - Wisdom is greater than worldly wealth."

There is gold and a multitude of rubies, But the lips of knowledge are a precious jewel. Proverbs 20:15.

King Solomon highlights the value of wise words, saying they are more precious than gold or rubies. While gold and rubies represent material wealth, "lips of knowledge" symbolize wisdom and understanding that come from a heart filled with Godly insight. This reminds us that spiritual wisdom is far greater than earthly riches, just as Jesus taught about the importance of storing spiritual treasures in heaven rather than focusing on earthly possessions. This verse serves as a reminder of the fleeting nature of worldly riches and the eternal significance of wisdom and knowledge in shaping our character and actions. Let us seek and share wisdom, seeing it as a treasure far more valuable than material wealth. What do you value more—material wealth or the wisdom and understanding that come from God? Proverbs 2:6 says: "For the LORD gives wisdom; From His mouth come knowledge and understanding."
