Blog # 358 - "Trust in God's unchanging power"

Show me Your ways, O LORD; Teach me Your paths. Psalm 25:4.

Today's verse is a prayer of king David for God's guidance and leading. Even though he was a great king, he often struggled to handle day-to-day challenges with his own strength. He understood that he could not do anything without God's help. He loved God with all his heart and mind. He recognized the power of God who parted the Red Sea and made a way for His people, the Israelites. Today, how do we handle different challenges regarding our health, employment uncertainty concerning the future, anxiety, fear of tomorrow and discouragement?  Instead of depending on our own strength and wisdom, just as David trusted in God, we can trust in God's guidance.  So let us pray 'Teach me Your way, O LORD, that I may walk in Your truth'.

கர்த்தாவே, உம்முடைய வழிகளை எனக்குத் தெரிவியும், உம்முடைய பாதைகளை எனக்குப் போதித்தருளும். 

சங்கீதம் 25:4

இன்றைய வசனம், கடவுளின் வழிகாட்டுதலுக்காகவும் வழிநடத்துதலுக்காகவும் தாவீது ராஜாவின் ஜெபமாகும்.  அவர் ஒரு பெரிய ராஜாவாக இருந்தாலும், அவர் தனது சொந்த பலத்தால் அன்றாட சவால்களை சமாளிக்க அடிக்கடி போராடினார்.  கடவுளின் உதவியின்றி தன்னால் எதுவும் செய்ய முடியாது என்பதை புரிந்து கொண்டார்.  அவர் முழு இருதயத்தோடும் மனதோடும் கடவுளை நேசித்தார்.  செங்கடலைப் பிளந்து, அவருடைய மக்களாகிய இஸ்ரவேலர்களுக்கு வழி செய்த கடவுளின் வல்லமையை அவர் உளமாற உணர்ந்தார்.  இன்று, நமது உடல்நலம், எதிர்காலம் குறித்து, வேலையில்லா நிச்சயமற்ற தன்மை, கவலை, நாளை பற்றிய பயம், மற்றும் ஊக்கமின்மை போன்ற பல்வேறு சவால்களை எவ்வாறு கையாள்வது?  தாவீது கடவுளை நம்பியதைப் போல, நம்முடைய சொந்த பலத்தையும் ஞானத்தையும் சார்ந்து இருக்காமல், கடவுளுடைய வழிகாட்டுதலில் நாம் நம்பிக்கை வைக்கலாம்.  ஆகவே, 'கர்த்தாவே, நான் உமது சத்தியத்தில் நடக்கும்படி, உமது வழியை எனக்குப் போதித்தருளும்' என்று ஜெபிப்போம்.
