Blog # Y2 012 - "Prepare Your Heart for Worship"

Walk prudently when you go to the house of God; and draw near to hear rather than to give the sacrifice of fools, for they do not know that they do evil. Ecclesiastes 5:1.

This scripture is a warning not to approach God's house without humility and careful thought. Proper preparation for worship is more important than the act of worship itself, especially if that worship is done without understanding. The reason why the "sacrifice of fools" is meaningless is that they lack knowledge—they don't want to listen and hear from God. This can happen in our lives as well. How many times do we attend church without preparing our hearts and minds? If we remain ignorant, our worship will not be acceptable to God. What is your attitude towards God when you go to church? We need to search our hearts to see whether we fear God and give Him reverence before entering His presence.  Romans 12:1 says: "I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that you present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God, which is your reasonable service."

நீ தேவாலயத்துக்குப் போகும்போது உன் நடையைக் காத்துக்கொள்; மூடர் பலியிடுவதுபோலப் பலியிடுவதைப்பார்க்கிலும் செவிகொடுக்கச் சேர்வதே நலம். தாங்கள் செய்கிறது தீமையென்று அறியாதிருக்கிறார்கள். பிரசங்கி 5:1.

மனத்தாழ்மையும், சுத்தமான சிந்தனையும் இல்லாமல் ஆலயத்துக்கு செல்ல வேண்டாம் என்று இந்த வசனம் நம்மை எச்சரிக்கிறது . உண்மையான ஆராதனைக்கு சரியான ஆயத்தம் முக்கியம். குறிப்பாக, அந்த ஆராதனை சரியாக செய்யாமல் செய்தால், அதற்கு அர்த்தமில்லை. "மூடரின் பலி" பயனற்றது என்பதற்கான காரணம் அவர்கள் அறிவில்லாதவர்கள்—அவர்கள் கேட்கவும், தேவனிடமிருந்து அறியவும் விரும்புவதில்லை. இது நமது வாழ்விலும் நடக்கலாம். எத்தனை முறை நாம் தேவாலயத்திற்கு மனதையும் இதயத்தையும் ஆயத்தப் படுத்தாமல் செல்கிறோம்? நாம் அறிவில்லாமல் செய்யும்  நமது ஆராதனை தேவனுக்கு ஏற்றதாக இருக்காது. நீ சபைக்குச் செல்லும்போது தேவனைப் பற்றிய உன் மனப்பான்மை என்ன? தேவனுடைய பிரசன்னத்தில் பிரவேசிப்பதற்கு முன் நாம் அவருக்கு மரியாதை கொடுக்கிறோமா என்பதைப் பார்க்க நம் இதயங்களை ஆராய வேண்டும்.  ரோமர் 12:1 சொல்லுகிறது: “அப்படியிருக்க, சகோதரரே, நீங்கள் உங்கள் சரீரங்களைப் பரிசுத்தமும் தேவனுக்குப் பிரியமுமான ஜீவபலியாக ஒப்புக்கொடுக்கவேண்டுமென்று, தேவனுடைய இரக்கங்களை முன்னிட்டு உங்களை வேண்டிக்கொள்ளுகிறேன்; இதுவே நீங்கள் செய்யத்தக்க புத்தியுள்ள ஆராதனை.”
