"Blog Y2 086 - Calm Words, Peaceful Hearts"

If you extend your soul to the hungry and satisfy the afflicted soul, then your light shall dawn in the darkness, and your darkness shall be as the noonday. Isaiah 58:10

Today's verse says that if we give ourselves on behalf of the hungry and satisfy the needs of the oppressed, then our dark night of sorrow and distress becomes a clear day of peace and comfort. In this context, God expects us to help the poor and those who are in poverty, trouble, sickness, and bondage. We can help them by giving, praying, and encouraging them through the love of Christ. If we do so, our God will reward us in this world and in eternity. Let us trust what David's says and extend our hands to those who are in need for better days ahead, "Blessed is he who considers the poor; the LORD will deliver him in times of trouble."

பசியுள்ளவனிடத்தில் உன் ஆத்துமாவைச் சாய்த்து, சிறுமைப்பட்ட ஆத்துமாவைத் திருப்தியாக்கினால், அப்பொழுது இருளில் உன் வெளிச்சம் உதித்து, உன் அந்தகாரம் மத்தியானத்தைப்போலாகும். ஏசாயா 58:10

பசித்தவர்களின் சார்பாக நம்மையே கொடுத்து, ஒடுக்கப்பட்டவர்களின் தேவைகளைப் பூர்த்தி செய்தால், துக்கமும் துயரமும் நிறைந்த நமது இருண்ட இரவு அமைதி மற்றும் ஆறுதலின் தெளிவான நாளாக மாறும் என்று இன்றைய வசனம் கூறுகிறது. ஏழைகளுக்கும், வறுமை, பிரச்சனை, நோய், அடிமைத்தனம் போன்றவற்றில் இருப்பவர்களுக்கும் நாம் உதவ வேண்டும் என்று கடவுள் எதிர்பார்க்கிறார்.  கிறிஸ்துவின் அன்பின் மூலம் அவர்களுக்கு நாம் கொடுத்து, ஜெபித்து, ஊக்குவிப்பதன் மூலம் அவர்களுக்கு உதவ முடியும்.  அப்படிச் செய்தால், நம் தேவன் இந்த உலகத்திலும் நித்தியத்திலும் நமக்கு வெகுமதி அளிப்பார்.  தாவீது சொல்வதை நம்பி, வரவிருக்கும் நல்ல நாட்கள் தேவைப்படுபவர்களுக்கு நம் கைகளை நீட்டுவோம், "சிறுமைப்பட்டவன்மேல் சிந்தையுள்ளவன் பாக்கியவான், தீங்குநாளில் கர்த்தர் அவனை விடுவிப்பார்."
