"Honor and love one another"

Be kindly affectionate to one another with brotherly love, in honor giving preference to one another. Romans 12:10

Today's verse mentions the values of a Christ follower. In this world, people often fail to value each other, displaying traits of selfishness, pride, and the tendency to hurt others with their actions and behaviors. The word of God emphasizes the importance of being kind and loving toward one another while also urging us to honor each other above ourselves. The story of Ruth and Naomi in the Bible serves as a perfect reminder of the virtues of selflessness, respect, and love. By abiding in Christ's love, we, too, can honor and love one another with His sacrificial love. In 1 Peter 2:17, Apostle Peter says, "Honor all people. Love the brotherhood. Fear God. Honor the king."

Pure and undefiled religion before God and the Father is this: to visit orphans and widows in their trouble, and to keep oneself unspotted from the world. James 1:27. Apostle James describes “pure and genuine religion” as the kind that God our Father accepts as pure and faultless: caring for orphans and widows in their distress, and keeping oneself unpolluted by the world. He highlights three signs that prove our religion is real: it impacts our conversation, our compassion, and our character. Pure religion involves loving God and others, especially those who are alone, forgotten, or in trouble, with the right motives. It recognizes the distress in the world and moves to meet that need.  Prophet Zechariah says that not to oppress the widow or the fatherless (Zechariah 7:10). Oh, give thanks to the Lord, for He is good! For His mercy endures forever. Psalm 106:1. We truly praise the Lord when we give Him thanks for what we have received from Him. Gratitude toward the Lord is an attitude of the heart that deepens our intimate relationship with God. Being thankful to God is an act of worship. King David says: “I will bless the LORD at all times; His praise shall continually be in my mouth.” (Psalm 34:1). The Apostle Paul encourages us to always thank the Lord for the grace of God given to us in Christ Jesus. Let us never be slow to return our praises to the Lord. He is worthy to be praised. Even when we are unfaithful, God remains faithful to His covenant, consistently showing us grace, mercy, and kindness. "God desires intimate relationship with contrite."

I dwell in the high and holy place, with him who has a contrite and humble spirit, to revive the spirit of the humble and to revive the heart of the contrite ones. Isaiah 57:15. God identifies Himself as the great and exalted One who lives forever and whose name is Holy. He created time, space, matter, and human beings. He stretched out the heavens and trampled the waves of the sea. His desire is to renew a right spirit within the hearts of lost souls who are dead in sin. Instead of dwelling in heaven, a holy place, our Almighty God wants to live with us, who are meek, holy, and humble of heart. He also wants to revive those with a contrite spirit and dwell in the hearts of all who believe in His name. This revelation unveils God's heart, characterized by compassion, grace, and accessibility. "Believers, you have overcome the world."

You are of God, little children, and have overcome them, because He who is in you is greater than he who is in the world. 1 John 4:4. In this scripture, Apostle John refers to "little children" as young believers who are growing in the Lord every day. He encourages the believers as below: 1.   Saying, "You are of God," which means they are of His family; they have  embraced His truth, and His Spirit dwells with them. 2.   He mentions that these believers have "Overcome them," meaning they  have  taken victory over the evil one and the world. 3. He reminds us that the power of Christ, who lives in the believer, is greater  than the power of the world. The Holy Spirit living in us is far stronger than  any attack by the evil one. As for me, I will call upon God, And the Lord shall save me. Evening and morning and at noon I will pray, and cry aloud, And He shall hear my voice. Psalm 55:16-17. Here, King David speaks of calling upon God's name for salvation. He mentions crying out to the Lord three times a day with a loud voice. Why would David pray this way? It’s because he understands that only God can save him from all his fears, trials, and problems. Similarly, we can call upon the Lord when we are discouraged, afraid, or worried. Jesus bore all our burdens and sins on the cross and saved us. We should also have confidence in the Lord like David, constantly reaching out to Him in prayer and with thanksgiving. He hears our voice and delivers us when we pray continually. I will praise the Lord according to His righteousness And will sing praise to the name of the Lord Most High. Psalm 7:17. This scripture says how King David gives praises to the God of righteousness and to the name of the Lord Most High. This verse encourages us to praise and worship the Lord for His righteousness and His sovereignty. David is praising God’s name as “ God Most High.” We first see "God Most High," which in Hebrew is “ El Elyon ” ; in Genesis 14:18, Melchizedek is identified as "priest of God Most High." This name occurs multiple times in the Psalms. It identifies God as the supreme, exalted sovereign in heaven. We must celebrate all the victories over our trials and tribulations through worship and praise. He is the great king over all the earth.
