Who Himself bore our sins in His own body on the tree, that we, having died to sins, might live for righteousness—by whose stripes you were healed. 1 Peter 2:24.
In this verse, Jesus Christ took our place in punishment. The penalty for all our sins has been paid for through his submission to the cross. We are now set free to live in righteousness. As the sinless Son of Man, He paid the full burden-weight of the accumulated sins of the whole world, past, present, and future. He was whipped and pierced so that we could be healed from the curse of sin and death. He allowed himself to die so that we may live with Him forever. Thus He showed a way for us to escape from the eternal separation from the Father. In Isaiah 53:5. the prophet Isaiah says, “But He was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our iniquities; The chastisement for our peace was upon Him, And by His stripes we are healed.”
நாம் பாவங்களுக்குச் செத்து, நீதிக்குப் பிழைத்திருக்கும்படிக்கு, அவர்தாமே தமது சரீரத்திலே நம்முடைய பாவங்களைச் சிலுவையின்மேல் சுமந்தார்; அவருடைய தழும்புகளால் குணமானீர்கள். 1 பேதுரு 2:24.
இந்த வசனத்தில், இயேசு கிறிஸ்து நமக்காக அடிக்கப் பட்டார். அவர் சிலுவைக்கு தன்னை ஒப்புக்கொடுத்ததின் மூலம் நமது பாவங்கள் அனைத்திற்குமான விலைக்கிரயத்தை கொடுத்தார். இப்போது நாம் நீதிக்குப் பிழைத்திருக்க விடுதலை பெற்றுள்ளோம். பாவமில்லாத மனுஷகுமாரனாக, கடந்த, நிகழ்கால மற்றும் எதிர்காலம் முழுவதிற்குமான நமது பாவங்களின் முழு விலையைச் சிலுவையில் செலுத்தினார். பாவம் மற்றும் மரணத்தின் சாபத்திலிருந்து நாம் குணமடைய அவர் சவுக்கால் அடிக்கப்பட்டு குத்தப்பட்டார். நாம் அவருடன் என்றென்றும் வாழ்வதற்காக அவர் தன்னை மரணத்த்திற்கு அனுமதித்தார். இவ்வாறு பரம பிதாவுடனான நித்திய பிரிவினையில் இருந்து நாம் விடுதலை பெற ஒரு வழியைக் காட்டினார். ஏசாயா 53:5 -ல். ஏசாயா தீர்க்கதரிசி கூறுகிறார், “நம்முடைய மீறுதல்களினிமித்தம் அவர் காயப்பட்டு, நம்முடைய அக்கிரமங்களினிமித்தம் அவர் நொறுக்கப்பட்டார்; நமக்குச் சமாதானத்தை உண்டுபண்ணும் ஆக்கினை அவர்மேல் வந்தது; அவருடைய தழும்புகளால் குணமாகிறோம்.”
