"The LORD is my strength"

Do not sorrow, for the joy of the Lord is your strength. Nehemiah 8:10.

Today's verse speaks about the joy that comes from the Lord. Joy is something we all desire in our lives. The joy of the Lord is the gladness of the heart that comes from knowing God. When we trust and abide in Him, we receive that joy and gain the inner strength necessary to move forward and overcome every challenge in our lives. Not only that, this strength also enables us to serve people and accomplish great things in the kingdom of God. Unlike the happiness we receive from the pleasures of this world, this joy remains in our hearts even in difficult times. As Nehemiah says, let us not sorrow; instead, let us draw strength from rejoicing in the Lord. In Psalm 118:14, King David says, "The LORD is my strength and song, And He has become my salvation."
