"We need to submit ourselves to Christ"

Set your mind on things above, not on things on the earth. Colossians 3:2.

One of the best thoughts to meditate on is keeping our minds on things that are above (heaven), not on things that are on the earth. As heaven and earth are far apart, they cannot be considered together; affection for one will weaken the other. It is a choice in front of us: whether we choose good or evil, life or death. Choosing evil things will lead us towards death without hope of eternal heaven. Choosing good things will take us to heaven the eternal life. To choose life, we need to seek God, obey His word, and faithfully follow Him. We need to submit ourselves to Christ to be renewed day by day. Apostle Paul writes to the Christ followers of Rome in Romans 8:6, "For to be carnally minded is death, but to be spiritually minded is life and peace."

தியானிக்க வேண்டிய சிறந்த சிந்தனைகளில் ஒன்று, பூமிக்கானவற்றை சிந்திக்காமல், பரலோகத்திற்கான காரியத்தை சிந்திப்பது. வானமும் பூமியும் வெகு தொலைவில் இருப்பதால், அவற்றை ஒன்றாகக் கருத முடியாது; ஒன்றின் மீதான பாசம் மற்றதின் பாசத்தைக் குறைவுபடுத்தும். நாம் நல்லது அல்லது கெட்டது, ஜீவன் அல்லது மரணத்தை தேர்வு செய்கிறோமா என்பது நமக்கு முன் உள்ள ஒரு தேர்வு.  கெட்டதைத் தேர்ந்தெடுப்பது நித்திய ராஜ்யத்தின் நம்பிக்கை இல்லாமல், நம்மை மரணத்தை நோக்கி அழைத்துச் செல்லும். நல்லவற்றைத் தேர்ந்தெடுப்பது நம்மை பரலோகமாகிய, நித்திய ஜீவனுக்கு அழைத்துச் செல்லும். வாழ்க்கையைத் தேர்ந்தெடுக்க, நாம் தேவனைத் தேட வேண்டும், அவருடைய வார்த்தைக்குக் கீழ்ப்படிய வேண்டும், உண்மையாக அவரைப் பின்பற்ற வேண்டும். நாளுக்கு நாள் புதுப்பிக்கப்படுவதற்கு நம்மை கிறிஸ்துவுக்கு அற்பணிக்க வேண்டும். அப்போஸ்தலனாகிய பவுல் ரோமர் 8:6 -ல் கிறிஸ்துவைப் பின்பற்றுபவர்களுக்கு எழுதுகிறார், "மாம்சசிந்தை மரணம்; ஆவியின் சிந்தையோ ஜீவனும் சமாதானமுமாம்."
