"Faithful prayer heals the sick"

The prayer of faith will save the sick, and the Lord will raise him up. And if he has committed sins, he will be forgiven. James 5:15.

This verse focuses on the power of faith in prayer. In the Bible, in Matthew 8:5-13, as Jesus enters Capernaum, a Roman officer known as a 'centurion' begs him to heal his servant. Jesus offers to go to his house, but the centurion says that he is unworthy and asks Jesus to say a word, believing that his servant will be healed. He understands the power of Jesus' words and authority. His servant received healing immediately. Jesus has the power not only to heal but also to forgive us our sins. We must have faith to receive any blessings from Him.  In Hebrews 11:6, the writer of Hebrews says, "But without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him."

விசுவாசமுள்ள ஜெபம் பிணியாளியை இரட்சிக்கும்; கர்த்தர் அவனை எழுப்புவார்; அவன் பாவஞ்செய்தவனானால் அது அவனுக்கு மன்னிக்கப்படும். யாக்கோபு 5:15.

இந்த வசனம் விசுவாசமுள்ள ஜெபத்தின் வல்லமையை  நமக்குத் தெளிவாக எடுத்துக் கூறுகிறது. பைபிளில், மத்தேயு 8:5-13 -ல், இயேசு கப்பர்நகூமிற்குள் நுழையும் போது, ​​'நூற்றுக்கு அதிபதி' என்று அழைக்கப்படும் ஒரு ரோமானிய அதிகாரி தனது வேலைக்காரனைக் குணப்படுத்தும்படி வேண்டிக்கொள்கிறான். இயேசு அவனது வீட்டிற்குச் செல்ல முன்வருகிறார், ஆனால் நூற்க்கு  அதிபதி, “ஆண்டவரே! நீர் என் வீட்டுக்குள் பிரவேசிக்க நான் பாத்திரன் அல்ல; ஒரு வார்த்தைமாத்திரம் சொல்லும், அப்பொழுது என் வேலைக்காரன் சொஸ்தமாவான்.” என்று  இயேசுவிடம் கேட்கிறான் . இயேசுவின் வார்த்தைகள் மற்றும் வல்லமையை அவன்  தெரிந்திருந்தான். அந்த நேரத்திலேயே அவன் வேலைக்காரன் சொஸ்தமானான். சுகப்படுத்துவது மட்டுமல்ல, நம்முடைய பாவங்களையும்  மன்னிக்கும் வல்லமை இயேசுவுக்கு உண்டு. அவரிடமிருந்து எந்த ஆசீர்வாதத்தையும் பெற நமக்கு விசுவாசம் இருக்க வேண்டும். எபிரேயர் 11:6 -ல்,  எபிரேயரை எழுதியவர் கூறுகிறார், “விசுவாசமில்லாமல் தேவனுக்குப் பிரியமாயிருப்பது கூடாதகாரியம்; ஏனென்றால், தேவனிடத்தில் சேருகிறவன் அவர் உண்டென்றும், அவர் தம்மைத் தேடுகிறவர்களுக்குப் பலன் அளிக்கிறவரென்றும் விசுவாசிக்கவேண்டும்.”

A soft answer turns away wrath, But a harsh word stirs up anger. Proverbs 15:1. King Solomon gives wise advice on handling anger. A gentle answer can calm a tense situation, while harsh words only make things worse. The word "wrath" here refers to intense anger that can lead to conflict. When we’re insulted or upset, it’s easy to respond with more anger, but this only fuels the fire. Instead, responding calmly and kindly can help defuse the situation. A gentle response shows wisdom, self-control, and care for the other person, reducing tension and preventing further conflict. When faced with anger or insult, how can you respond with gentleness and wisdom to show love and defuse the situation instead of fueling conflict? You who fear the Lord, trust in the Lord; He is their help and their shield. Psalm 115:11. This verse encourages those who fear the Lord to trust in Him, as He is their help and shield. We know that the fear of God is not about being afraid of Him; it is about giving Him reverence, honor, and priority in every area of our lives. The image of God as a 'help' and a 'shield' has deep meaning. In the ancient world, a shield was an essential piece of armor that provided protection from enemy attacks. Likewise, God is portrayed as a shield, providing His people with defense against their enemies. Additionally, God as help emphasizes His role as a helper for His people in times of trouble. Walk prudently when you go to the house of God; and draw near to hear rather than to give the sacrifice of fools, for they do not know that they do evil. Ecclesiastes 5:1. This scripture is a warning not to approach God's house without humility and careful thought. Proper preparation for worship is more important than the act of worship itself, especially if that worship is done without understanding. The reason why the "sacrifice of fools" is meaningless is that they lack knowledge—they don't want to listen and hear from God. This can happen in our lives as well. How many times do we attend church without preparing our hearts and minds? If we remain ignorant, our worship will not be acceptable to God. What is your attitude towards God when you go to church? "Believers, you have overcome the world."

You are of God, little children, and have overcome them, because He who is in you is greater than he who is in the world. 1 John 4:4. In this scripture, Apostle John refers to "little children" as young believers who are growing in the Lord every day. He encourages the believers as below: 1.   Saying, "You are of God," which means they are of His family; they have  embraced His truth, and His Spirit dwells with them. 2.   He mentions that these believers have "Overcome them," meaning they  have  taken victory over the evil one and the world. 3. He reminds us that the power of Christ, who lives in the believer, is greater  than the power of the world. The Holy Spirit living in us is far stronger than  any attack by the evil one. For the Lord hears the poor, And does not despise His prisoners. Psalm 69:33. This scripture describes the nature of our God as a compassionate God who cares for the poor and the oppressed. In this verse, the "poor" represent those who are economically and socially in need, while the "prisoners" symbolize those who are physically or emotionally captive. The Psalms frequently mention God’s concern for the suffering people in the world. Despite his suffering and rejection, King David maintains faith that God is not indifferent to his pain. He trusts in God's righteous character and finds comfort during hardship. This reminds us that God’s love and care reach everyone, especially those who are vulnerable and in need.
