"Live humbly, esteeming others highly."

Let us not become conceited, provoking one another, envying one another. Galatians 5:26.

Apostle Paul has been describing how those in Christ should live. In today's verse, he mentions three things: not to be conceited, proud, or arrogant. If we are, we go against the work of the Holy Spirit in our lives and bring 'sorrow to God's Spirit by the way' we live. That's why Paul taught the new believers to get rid of all bitterness, rage, anger, harsh words, and slander, as well as all types of evil behavior. Instead, we should be kind to each other, tenderhearted, and forgiving one another, just as God, through Christ, has forgiven us. In our relationships with people, we should follow the Spirit's lead and let the fruit of the Spirit (love, joy, peace, longsuffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control) and the life of Jesus come through in our own lives!  As children of God, it matters more how we live than what we do. So, let's display the characteristics of Christ in our lives.  Philippians 2:3 says, "Let nothing be done through selfish ambition or conceit, but in lowliness of mind let each esteem others better than himself."

கிறிஸ்துவுக்குள் இருப்பவர்கள் எப்படி வாழ வேண்டும் என்பதை அப்போஸ்தலனாகிய பவுல் விளக்கி வருகிறார். இன்றைய வசனத்தில் அவர் மூன்று விஷயங்களைக் குறிப்பிடுகிறார்: கர்வமோ, பெருமையோ, ஆணவமோ கொள்ளக்கூடாது. நாம் அப்படி இருந்தால், நம் வாழ்வில் பரிசுத்த ஆவியானவரின் கிரியைக்கு எதிராகச் சென்று, நாம் வாழும் வழியில் 'தேவனுடைய ஆவியானவரைத் துக்கபடுத்துகிறோம்'. அதனால்தான் பவுல் புதிய விசுவாசிகளுக்கு எல்லா கசப்பு, ஆத்திரம், கோபம், கடுமையான வார்த்தைகள் மற்றும் அவதூறு, அத்துடன் அனைத்து வகையான தீய நடத்தைகளையும் அகற்ற கற்றுக்கொடுத்தார். அதற்குப் பதிலாக, கிறிஸ்துவின் மூலமாகக் கடவுள் நம்மை மன்னித்ததுபோல, நாம் ஒருவருக்கொருவர் தயவுள்ளவர்களாகவும், கனிவான இருதயமுள்ளவர்களாகவும், மன்னிக்கிறவர்களாகவும் இருக்க வேண்டும். மக்களுடனான நமது உறவுகளில், நாம் ஆவியானவரின் வழிநடத்துதலைப் பின்பற்றி, ஆவியின் கனியும் (அன்பு, சந்தோஷம், சமாதானம், நீடியபொறுமை, தயவு, நற்குணம், விசுவாசம்,சாந்தம், இச்சையடக்கம்) இயேசுவின் வாழ்க்கையும் நம் சொந்த வாழ்க்கையில் வரட்டும்!  தேவனுடைய பிள்ளைகளாகிய நாம் என்ன செய்கிறோம் என்பதை விட எப்படி வாழ்கிறோம் என்பதே முக்கியம். எனவே, கிறிஸ்துவின் குணாதிசயங்களை நம் வாழ்வில் வெளிப்படுத்துவோம்.  பிலிப்பியர் 2:3 சொல்லுகிறது, "ஒன்றையும் வாதினாலாவது வீண்பெருமையினாலாவது செய்யாமல், மனத்தாழ்மையினாலே ஒருவரையொருவர் தங்களிலும் மேன்மையானவர்களாக எண்ணக்கடவீர்கள்."
