"Confess Sins and Receive Mercy"

If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. 1 John 1:9.

This verse is a comforting promise of forgiveness and cleansing for all of us who have struggled with guilt in this corrupted world. If we confess our sins—confession is such an important part of our relationship with God. Confession means agreeing with God on His assessment of our actions and thoughts, and naming our sin to God. God keeps His promises, and He will restore fellowship with us when we confess our sin to Him. We can't keep sinning because we are not under the law but under grace. Despite our efforts to avoid sin, if we fail at times, we must confess our sins, seek God's forgiveness, and get cleansed daily. Let us examine ourselves today and consider our relationship with God. As the verse says, He is faithful to Himself to forgive our sins, and He is just, having already made full atonement for our sins through the sacrifice of His beloved Son. Proverbs 28:13 says, "He who covers his sins will not prosper, But whoever confesses and forsakes them will have mercy."

நம்முடைய பாவங்களை நாம் அறிக்கையிட்டால், பாவங்களை நமக்கு மன்னித்து எல்லா அநியாயத்தையும் நீக்கி நம்மைச் சுத்திகரிப்பதற்கு அவர் உண்மையும் நீதியும் உள்ளவராயிருக்கிறார். 1 I யோவான் 1:9.

இந்த வசனம் இந்த சீர்கெட்ட உலகில் குற்ற உணர்வுடன் போராடும் நம் அனைவருக்கும் மன்னிப்பு மற்றும் சுத்திகரிப்பின் ஆறுதலான வாக்குறுதியாகும். நம்முடைய பாவங்களை நாம் அறிக்கையிட்டால் — அறிக்கையிடுவது தேவனுடனான நமது உறவின் ஒரு முக்கிய பகுதியாகும். அறிக்கையிடுதல் என்பது நமது செயல்கள் மற்றும் எண்ணங்களைப் பற்றிய அவரது மதிப்பீட்டில் கடவுளுடன் உடன்படுவதும், நமது பாவத்தை தேவனிடம் ஒன்றன் பின் ஒன்றாக தெரியப்படுத்துவத்துவதாகும். தேவன் தம்முடைய வாக்குறுதிகளைக் காக்கிறார், நம்முடைய பாவத்தை அவரிடம் அறிக்கையிடும்போது அவர் நம்முடன் ஐக்கியத்தை உருவாக்குவார். நாம் நியாயப்பிரமாணத்தின் கீழ் இல்லாதபடி,  கிருபையின் கீழ் இருப்பதால் நாம் தொடர்ந்து பாவம் செய்ய முடியாது. பாவத்தைத் தவிர்க்க நாம் எடுத்த முயற்சிகள் எடுத்திருந்தபோதிலும், சில சமயங்களில் நாம் தோல்வியுற்றால், நம்முடைய பாவங்களை அறிக்கையிட்டு, தேவனிடம் மன்னிப்பு கேட்டு, தினமும் சுத்திகரிக்கப்பட வேண்டும். இன்று நம்மை ஆராய்ந்து பார்த்து, தேவனோடு நமக்குள்ள உறவைப் பற்றி சிந்திப்போம். இந்த வசனம் சொல்வது போல், நம்முடைய பாவங்களை மன்னிக்க அவர் தமக்கு உண்மையுள்ளவர், அவர் நீதியுள்ளவர், ஏற்கனவே அவருடைய நேச குமாரனின் தியாகத்தின் மூலம் நம்முடைய பாவங்களுக்காக முழு பரிகாரம் செய்திருக்கிறார். நீதிமொழிகள் 28:13 கூறுகிறது, "தன் பாவங்களை மறைக்கிறவன் வாழ்வடையமாட்டான்; அவைகளை அறிக்கை செய்து விட்டுவிடுகிறவனோ இரக்கம் பெறுவான்."
