"Help the Poor, Receive God's Blessings"

He who has pity on the poor lends to the Lord, And He will pay back what he has given. Proverbs 19:17.

Today's verse teaches us that the Lord will repay those who help the poor. In the story of the Last Judgment, Jesus indicates that acts of kindness and charity will be considered in the final judgment: “For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink” (Mt 25:35). Jesus' words provide guidance for our lives. Those who help the poor, who lack life's basic necessities, will be blessed by God. Though the poor may never be able to repay our generosity, the Lord can certainly reward us. By helping the needy, we fulfill God's will and do the work of God, ensuring the eternal blessings. Matthew 25:40 says, “Assuredly, I say to you, inasmuch as you did it to one of the least of these My brethren, you did it to Me.”

ஏழைக்கு இரங்குகிறவன் கர்த்தருக்குக் கடன்கொடுக்கிறான்; அவன் கொடுத்ததை அவர் திரும்பக் கொடுப்பார். நீதிமொழிகள் 19:13.

ஏழைகளுக்கு உதவுபவர்களுக்கு கர்த்தர் கைம்மாறு செய்வார் என்பதை இன்றைய வசனம் நமக்குப் போதிக்கிறது. கடைசி நியாயத்தீர்ப்பின் செய்தியில், இறுதி நியாயத்தீர்ப்பில் கருணை மற்றும் தொண்டு செயல்கள் கருதப்படும் என்று இயேசு சுட்டிக்காட்டுகிறார்: "பசியாயிருந்தேன், எனக்குப் போஜனங்கொடுத்தீர்கள்; தாகமாயிருந்தேன், என் தாகத்தைத் தீர்த்தீர்கள்; அந்நியனாயிருந்தேன் என்னைச் சேர்த்துக்கொண்டீர்கள்;" (மத்தேயு 25:35). இயேசுவின் வார்த்தைகள் நம் வாழ்க்கைக்கு வழிகாட்டுதலை வழங்குகின்றன. வாழ்க்கையின் அடிப்படைத் தேவைகள் இல்லாத ஏழைகளுக்கு உதவுபவர்கள் தேவனால் ஆசீர்வதிக்கப்படுவார்கள். ஏழைகள் நமது தாராள நன்கொடையை  ஒருபோதும் திருப்பிச் செலுத்த முடியாது என்றாலும், கர்த்தர் நிச்சயமாக நமக்கு தகுந்த வெகுமதியை  அளிப்பார். ஏழைகளுக்கு உதவுவதன் மூலம், நாம் தேவனின் சித்தத்தை நிறைவேற்றி, தேவனின் வேலையைச் செய்து, நித்திய ஆசீர்வாதங்களுக்கு  தகுதியாகிறோம். மத்தேயு 25:40 சொல்லுகிறது "மிகவும் சிறியவராகிய என் சகோதரரான இவர்களில் ஒருவனுக்கு நீங்கள் எதைச் செய்தீர்களோ, அதை எனக்கே செய்தீர்கள் என்று மெய்யாகவே உங்களுக்குச் சொல்லுகிறேன் என்பார்."
