Blog # 335 - "Righteousness and mercy bring life and honor"

He who follows righteousness and mercy,  finds life, righteousness, and honor. Proverbs 21:21.

Today's verse offers a profound promise to those who choose to follow the paths of righteousness and mercy. These two virtues are pillars of a life that reflects the heart and character of God. To "follow righteousness" means to actively seek to do what is right in the eyes of God. It involves making choices that align with His will, living a life of integrity, and being faithful to His commandments. "Mercy," on the other hand, involves compassion, forgiveness, and kindness towards others. It is about showing grace even when it is undeserved. Just as God shows us mercy every day. When we follow the above two, we find:

• Life: This refers to a life filled with purpose, joy, and spiritual fulfillment.
• Righteousness: It is not our own but the righteousness of God, which we receive through faith and by living according to His ways.
• Honor: Refers to the respect and dignity we gain, both from God and from others, when we live a life that honors God.

Are you actively seeking righteousness and showing mercy in your life? Matthew 5:6,7 says, “Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, For they shall be filled. Blessed are the merciful, For they shall obtain mercy.” 

நீதியையும் தயையையும் பின்பற்றுகிறவன் ஜீவனையும் நீதியையும் மகிமையையும் கண்டடைவான். நீதிமொழிகள் 21:21.

நீதி மற்றும் இரக்கத்தின் பாதைகளைப் பின்பற்றத் தேர்ந்தெடுப்பவர்களுக்கு இன்றைய வசனம் ஒரு ஆழமான வாக்குறுதியை அளிக்கிறது. இந்த இரண்டு நற்பண்புகளும் தேவனின் இதயத்தையும் தன்மையையும் பிரதிபலிக்கும் வாழ்க்கையின் தூண்கள். 'நீதியைப் பின்பற்றுவது' என்பது தேவனுடைய பார்வையில் சரியானதைச் செய்ய மும்முரமாக நாடுவதைக் குறிக்கிறது. அவருடைய சித்தத்துடன் ஒத்துப்போகும் தேர்வுகளைச் செய்வது, உத்தமத்தின் வாழ்க்கையை வாழ்வது, அவருடைய கட்டளைகளுக்கு உண்மையுள்ளவர்களாக இருப்பது ஆகியவை இதில் அடங்கும். "இரக்கம்" என்பது பரிவு, மன்னிப்பு மற்றும் மற்றவர்களிடம் தயவு ஆகியவற்றை உள்ளடக்கியது. இது தகுதியற்றதாக இருக்கும்போது கூட கருணை காட்டுவதைப் பற்றியது. தேவன் ஒவ்வொரு நாளும் நமக்கு இரக்கம் காட்டுவது போல, 

மேலே உள்ள இரண்டையும் நாம் பின்பற்றும்போது, நாம் காண்பது:

• ஜீவன்: இது குறிக்கோள், மகிழ்ச்சி மற்றும் ஆன்மீக நிறைவு நிறைந்த வாழ்க்கையைக் குறிக்கிறது.
• நீதி: இது நம்முடைய சொந்த நீதி அல்ல, ஆனால் தேவனின் நீதி, இது விசுவாசத்தின் மூலமும் அவருடைய வழிகளின்படி வாழ்வதன் மூலமும் பெறுகிறோம்.
• மகிமை: தேவனை மகிமைப்படுத்தும் வாழ்க்கையை நாம் வாழும்போது, தேவனிடமிருந்தும் மற்றவர்களிடமிருந்தும் நாம் பெறும் மரியாதை மற்றும் கண்ணியத்தைக் குறிக்கிறது.

உங்கள் வாழ்க்கையில் நீங்கள் தீவிரமாக நீதியைத் தேடுகிறீர்களா, இரக்கம் காட்டுகிறீர்களா? மத்தேயு 5:6,7 சொல்லுகிறது, "நீதியின்மேல் பசிதாகமுள்ளவர்கள் பாக்கியவான்கள்; அவர்கள் திருப்தியடைவார்கள். இரக்கமுள்ளவர்கள் பாக்கியவான்கள்; அவர்கள் இரக்கம் பெறுவார்கள்.”
