Blog # 350 - "Seeking God with a devoted heart"

O God, You are my God; Early will I seek You; My soul thirsts for You; My flesh longs for You in a dry and thirsty land where there is no water. Psalm 63:1.

King David, the psalmist, was a man after God's own heart. He wrote this psalm while in the wilderness of Judah, reflecting his deep personal thoughts on God and urging us to yearn for and seek Him. His use of 'My God' reveals a close relationship with the Lord. David seeks God early in the morning, pouring out his heart and expressing how his soul thirsts for Him in times of hopelessness. His life experience encourages us to call upon God in our own desperate situations. God desires us to seek, find, and know Him. Are you seeking God with the same deep longing and devotion as King David did in times of need? In Matthew 11:28, Jesus says: Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.

தேவனே, நீர் என்னுடைய தேவன்; அதிகாலமே உம்மைத் தேடுகிறேன்; வறண்டதும் விடாய்த்ததும் தண்ணீரற்றதுமான நிலத்திலே என் ஆத்துமா உம்மேல் தாகமாயிருக்கிறது, என் மாம்சமானது உம்மை வாஞ்சிக்கிறது. சங்கீதம் 63:1.

சங்கீதக்காரனாகிய தாவீது ராஜா தேவனுடைய இருதயத்திற்கு ஏற்ற ஒரு மனிதனாக இருந்தார். யூதாவின்  வனாந்தரத்தில் இருந்தபோது அவர் இந்த சங்கீதத்தை எழுதினார், இது தேவனைப் பற்றிய அவரது ஆழமான தனிப்பட்ட எண்ணங்களை பிரதிபலித்து, நம்மை தேவனை விரும்பி தேடுமாறு ஊக்குவிக்கிறது. 'என் தேவன்' என்பதை அவர் பயன்படுத்தியிருப்பது, கர்த்தரோடு நெருங்கிய உறவை வெளிப்படுத்துகிறது. தாவீது அதிகாலையில் தேவனைத் தேடுகிறார், தனது இருதயத்தை ஊற்றி, நம்பிக்கையற்ற காலங்களில் அவரது ஆத்துமா அவருக்காக எவ்வாறு தாகமாயிருக்கிறது என்பதை வெளிப்படுத்துகிறார். அவருடைய வாழ்க்கை அனுபவம், நம்மையும் நம்முடைய அவசர நிலைகளில் தேவனை அழைக்க ஊக்குவிக்கிறது. நாம் அவரைத் தேடவும், கண்டுபிடிக்கவும், அறிந்துகொள்ளவும் தேவன் விரும்புகிறார். தேவைப்படும் காலங்களில் தாவீது ராஜா செய்த அதே ஆழ்ந்த ஏக்கத்துடனும் பக்தியுடனும் நீங்கள் தேவனைத் தேடுகிறீர்களா? மத்தேயு 11:28-ல்  இயேசு சொல்லுகிறார்: “வருத்தப்பட்டுப் பாரஞ்சுமக்கிறவர்களே! நீங்கள் எல்லாரும் என்னிடத்தில் வாருங்கள்; நான் உங்களுக்கு இளைப்பாறுதல் தருவேன்.”
