Blog # Y2 010 - "Jesus: Our Faithful Friend Forever"

A man who has friends must himself be friendly, But there is a friend who sticks closer than a brother. Proverbs 18:24.

Today’s verse talks about how a friend can be more faithful than a brother. Friendship requires good character, and good friends can sometimes be even closer than family. Here, we see Jesus telling His disciples that He is our true friend. Christ’s statement in John 15:13-15 demonstrates His boundless love for us. Jesus died for our sins, showing what true, selfless love looks like. If we have Jesus as our true friend, He will help us in all our ways, guide us, and lead us to eternal life. Whenever we call upon Him in times of trouble, He helps us. His love is amazing. Are you relying on Jesus as your true friend who guides and helps you in times of trouble? James 2:23 says: “And the Scripture was fulfilled which says, “Abraham believed God, and it was accounted to him for righteousness.” And he was called the friend of God.”
